“By far the best hobby shop around NYC, has been for ages, not many left. Amazing selection of rc cars, planes, boats, model trains and loads of diecast cars of all makes, models and sizes.

“Came in here on a whim with my 3 year old looking for cars and from the moment we walked in the staff was so friendly, helpful and kind. We spent a lot of time there browsing before my son finally decided on his cars and never felt rushed or unwelcome. Truly a gem to find and they had so many collectibles, figurines and other toys.”
“Went here a few months ago and was blown away by the spaciousness! Definitely more expensive than the other arcades and be prepared to spend more money. However, the merch and plushies are official and licensed, as far as I know this is the only arcade in flushing that does not have bootlegs so that may explain the higher price tag. I will say, I really liked the Lunar New Year promo they had and they should definitely have similar events more often to offset the difficulty and high cost-but at the same time, it's still skill and luck based!Machines are definitely harder, but ask employees for help! The last time we went, we were trying to win a derpy looking dinosaur, and it was very difficult (claw was too weak and plushie was very big and chubby) and the worker helped us reposition. The app did glitch and take away 2 tries for us that we weren't able to play, but the same worker helped us (I never got her name but she had glasses!). She was very encouraging and sweet and helped us win it!”
“I love shopping here and the employees here are very friendly and always helpful . People who have made complaints about how they are treated poorly maybe they should have stopped and think hey maybe I deserved the poor treatment from the employee/s and don’t be a stickler and always expect to be greeted the minute you walk in.You are not a KING or anything ?. So be mindful of your actions first before pointing fingers at others.”

“No weekend is complete without a run to 5 Below. It's always for something that's needed like a phone charger cord and then I wind up seeing so many other things that I feel like I must have. This location is usually pretty well stocked and the staff is friendly. Every once in a while they're short handed up front but they seem to make it work. On this trip I got pillows and a throw for my guest bedroom because they were super cute and affordable. I also bought another bookcase/organizer because I used one of theirs for my pop up shop set up and it works really great. Even though some things are more than $5 most of my items were actually $5. If you have a very small child, I'm warning you they have lots of cute toys and a lot of candy especially near the checkout so either prep them before you go in or don't bring them.”

The store manager is absolutely amazing—so friendly, welcoming, and always makes sure my daughters and I leave happy. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and their team.
I also have to give a special shoutout to Lizzie! She is such a sweetheart and is always so kind to my girls. We’re in Five Below pretty often, and every single time she sees us, she greets us with a smile and checks in to see if we need help finding anything. The entire staff deserves recognition for providing outstanding customer service. They’re always patient, helpful, and professional, even when dealing with difficult situations. I’ve unfortunately witnessed customers being aggressive toward employees over something as simple as Squishys, and I truly don’t understand it. The Five Below team handles these situations with grace and kindness. It’s free to be kind, and these employees absolutely deserve the same respect they show every customer.
