I dont think that I am gonna again rent a car from hertz. Rented a car couple a month ago (just a late review) I booked a Kia niro EV when i reached for picking up the car they said they dont have any unless the kia soul i paid the price of ev got a gas car. Also waited more than 30 minutes to talk to someone and sign up. I am done with hertz never goong back to get a car.

This was the worst ever. We needed a minivan specifically to go pick our family up in NYC and spend the day. When we arrived they didn’t have a minivan or anything with three rows. If I could give zero stars I would. They were rude and said they could get one but we would have to wait awhile. They didn’t know how long. We already wasted a 20 min drive each way.HORRIBLE!!!!!’ Not a good way to start our vacation week with family. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Thank you so much for being not only so gracious and extremely helpful but you guys there have a great personality. I actually drove an hour out of my way to get a rental from this location because the one that was close to Glen Cove was extremely rude and obnoxious you guys here were worth the drive!

Worst Hertz ever! It's part of a car repair shop. Try not to touch anything because the office is dirty and the courtesy and customer welcoming is non-existent.
They're POS is very old. Only swiping your card is accepted, no chips, no Apple pay, no Google or Samsung pay......let hope that nothing is wrong with your debit credit card strip, you will be stuck if you don't have a credit card or don't want to use one.
The agents are the mechanics working in the repair shop. They are dirty and their attire is not what to expect from Hertz. My experience was so bad, that I will never never again rent a car from Hertz, and I don't care if not every locations are the same.
Thank to a wonderful agent from Enterprise Rent a car name Nick in Centereach, not too far from this disgusting Hertz, I was able to rent a nice car with no issues at all. The difference was night and day in regards to customer service and cleanliness.
Hertz response to every reviews is always the same and nothing change. They're sorry and they thank you for the review, and they strive to be better.

I Ubered to the business for a rental car reservation I made days in advance and prepaid for only to arrive and be told they DON'T HAVE A CAR AVAILABLE, not only for me, but also for two other parties that had reservations. That's extremely unacceptable and the worst customer service. I cried outside before walking to take the bus home. People are relying on getting these rental cars. People aren't making reservations for a rental car unless they actually need one, so to have NONE is unfathomable. I find it incredibly hard to believe in this day and age that there's no way to monitor inventory to make sure people with reservations can actually get a car. On top of that, I was told it will take 7-10 days for my refund to hit my credit card, so you don't even get your money back in a timely manner. I'm astounded at what a bad business this is. Additionally, I started calling the business a half hour before my reservation time, and no one bothered to pick up. I redialed numerously and it just kept ringing. That's horrible. If they could be bothered to pick up a phone, I could've avoided spending more money only to be told they don't have a car. What a crazy idea, a rental car company having cars to rent, someone should remind them of that.
My recommendation is to use Enterprise or other rental car companies. I used Hertz because it was the cheapest and now I see why, because they don't know what they're doing and have no integrity. Go elsewhere to ensure you actually get a car. Reservations mean nothing to this company and location.

I don’t know anything about the service of this shop, but I got rent car here, I book the rent car and pick up here, when I am here at 3pm they told me the shop is closed? So Unbelievable, and told me come 2 days after for pick car from today, if you shop close you should go home, not stay in the the shop 3 people talking about shit and keep counting the hours to get pay . Don’t get rent car here , waste money and time!
And the rental reservation saying they close at 5pm today under the Google maps saying they close at 5pm and they are still there until I left over there.
I would not come here for anything services

I booked a car in the website it gave me the confirmation mail. Next day I wanted to enquire about picking the car I called them 3 to 4 times no one cared to pick the call. Then I went to the place they are like there are no vehicles we will add you in waitllist and will call you once car is available. I wouldn’t suggest you to rent a car from hertz.

These guys simply do not acknowledge your booking. Once you’re there they put you on a waitlist. How messed up is that
