The Village Haven Inn offers a mixed experience for its guests. While the front desk staff are often praised as very friendly and helpful, the rooms can be hit-or-miss. Some guests have reported issues with unpleasant odors, such as stale cigarette smoke or a "wet husky" smell, as well as outdated furnishings and amenities. However, other guests have found the rooms to be clean and comfortable, with a nice fireplace as a bonus. The hotel's facilities, like the pool and hot tub, also seem to be in varying states of disrepair or disuse. Overall, the Village Haven Inn appears to provide a budget-friendly option near Niagara, with the quality of the stay depending on the individual room and guest's expectations.

Been here 8 months now and it's been peaceful so far our room is great the owners are really nice, I like that. Our room is nice everything works. I have definitely stay at much worse places in the past. The water works fine and everything is within walking distance. We just might stay a bit longer
