“I had the pleasure of staying here last week for our tour of the 1000 Islands. This place is just 3 minutes drive away from downtown Clayton and 20 min from Alexandria Bay. The motel rooms are great for parties of 2 and cottages for larger accommodations. We spent most of our evenings by the fire pit, meeting other couples from around the country drinking and having a great time. Sorry for going through all your firewood, Jolene.Rooms: Rooms are great for 2 people, anymore you should book a cottage. All rooms and cottages have their own parking.Walkability: The walk from the cottages to the motel rooms has a bit of an incline, so that will get you in shape if you decide to visit the castles on the 1000 island tours.”

“We stayed in the motel part the first night and the cottages for the next 2 nights. The motel rooms were nice a bit dated, but that added to the feel of Clayton. Rooms were clean and offered parking for our trucks and boats. The cottages were definitely dated reminded me of my grandparents' house. But again that just added to the whole experience. We were able to park two bass boats and our trucks right next to the end cottage and they had outlets to charge our rigs. Great ti.e there and I am looking forward to next year as we booked some dates.”

“We had a great stay here at the Wooden Boat Inn. We stayed in the Viking Room which was nicely decorated. The linens were clean, and the bed was comfortable. Pia made it super easy with check-in and check-out both being contactless. The location is excellent since you can walk to restaurants, shopping on James St., and the marina. Thanks for a nice experience!”

“Thank you for a wonderful travel experience. You're operating an excellent facility from top to bottom. I travel often for work and I will most assuredly be back! Carly and Luca at the bar were wonderful. The staff was sharply dressed, very attentive, super friendly, and made it easy to check in and check out. As far as the room, it was clean, spacious, and I especially enjoyed the large shower stall. A beautiful room with plenty of space for me to work and relax. I can't say enough about the facility and the staff. They were exceptional.”
