“Thank you for everything you do, WCA. You are appreciated. It's a historic social club for women. They have sisterhood- like events. It's for a girl's girl and a supportive environment for women. The membership is around 50 or so dollars a year. The age ranges vary, but if you are looking for a community if women who may have attended a sister school or are looking for women centered social events, it's wonderful. You'll meet many intellectual and career oriented women. It's lovely. Everyone is lovely. They also have community based events that support women and children in the geographical area.”

“I was visiting the area for the weekend and decided to give this place a look. The parking leaves a little bit to be desired, but the actual facility itself is wonderful! When you first walk in, the store area itself feels a little on the smaller side, but is super well-stocked with a ton of cards for various games.Going further in, there are displays containing items from various games, including some very cool and old Dungeons and Dragons modules/books.The actual play area was staggeringly big. The property seems to have been an industrial garage/warehouse at one point so there’s two main play areas that can host something like 60-80 some-odd people with tables to match. There’s space for more than one event to be going on at once. (And not even feel truly crowded, at that.)What really shocked me was the fact that even with all this area to play, they have a full cafe setup! You can order various fast-food options like chicken-on-a-stick (which I had. it was great.), burgers, fries etc. It was nice to not have to go looking for food in other areas or come prepared with food/drink for a long gaming session. The staff was also very professional and welcoming too. I spent a good deal of time speaking with Alec, who showed me around the venue and was super helpful in finding some specific cards I’d been looking for. Thanks Alec! All in all, this place is worth your time if you’re a local or visiting. Highly recommended.”

“My now wife and I had our wedding at Takk in ‘23 and could not be happier with how everything went! From our first initial meetings we knew we were in good hands. Having never been through this before, we initially felt overwhelmed about planning but after selecting Takk and working with Heidi, so much was taken off our plate and we were given clear guidance on timelines, expectations and deadlines in ways that was professional, gave us confidence and made the ENTIRE process fun. Choosing Takk made the process something we were able to bond over and enjoy, not stress about. Takk is a beautiful space with so much character and the same is true of the city of Troy. Heidi’s team is so creative and had a ton of options and ideas on design and logistics that made everything unique to us, flow well and stay within our budget. 10/10, no notes! Oh and the food is incredible too!”

“I haven’t been bowling in 15 years and my kids have never been. This was a really fun day! It was convenient to book a lane online and pay ahead. The parking is plentiful and the staff we dealt were friendly.Going with kids was super easy. We got some really lightweight balls, they can set up bumpers when you check in and they have kid rollers (name of it?!) that help little ones roll the ball.We didn’t get any food or drinks so I can’t speak to that but we will definitely return, possibly for a birthday party!”

“My partner and I stayed here for 3 days & 2 nights. The price was great for the value, considering you get a kitchen and king bed. It was my partners birthday and Joey (with the bowtie) made this experience absolutely EXCEPTIONAL. I have never had such amazing customer service, you can tell he really cares about people and loves his job, he even gave my partner a gift for his birthday. The hotel has a hot tub, a pool, a lovely gym, laundry service, office area for use, fireplace and TV downstairs also for use. Breakfast options are served till 11am (better than most hotels) and are eggs, sausages, waffles, fruit salad bar, yogurt, cereal, granola, tea, coffee, muffins, bagels, etc. I know they also occasionally have dinner events where you get to socialize and have dinner (I think the day we left it was a vegetarian chili and meat chili day). The hotel is a 2 min walk to Trader Joe's and the mall is right across the same plaza. There are so many good places near by to eat, shop, and do activities, truly a PRIME location. Overall, a lovely hotel, and 12pm checkout is super nice. I really had a great experience here, I normally book Airbnbs but this hotel has raised my standards for hotels, I will definitely be back!”

“The State Room was the first venue that my husband and I visited and we weren’t expecting to be so completely enamored! We would compare every other wedding venue we visited afterwards to The State Room. From the beginning, Lisa and Tom made us feel so at ease with wedding preparations and planning. They were always a phone call or email away and responded almost immediately. They were as invested in planning our wedding as we were and made sure that we followed a timeline and got things done–Tom and Lisa acted as our wedding planners! On top of that, you can’t beat the beauty and grandeur of the venue–just stunning!Tom showed up to the church about an hour before the ceremony to help out–he helped carry my dress and bouquet and made sure I had whatever I needed. You really are his priority and he makes it known. After the ceremony, Tom is right there to give you a bottle of water and whisk you back downtown in his car.I could write an entire review for the food itself. Everyone at the wedding was so full from the amount of food they ate–the largest prime ribs we have ever eaten, endless appetizers, and mountains of cake. And then a fun food finale to top it all off! Our guests are still talking about the food!We had the most wonderful wedding thanks to Tom and Lisa and the rest of the staff at The State Room!”

“We were the LAST couple to get married at 90 State Events! My husband and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with our experience with Mazzone! From the beginning, Shana and Olivia were upbeat, friendly and responsive! They made the process effortless and we knew we were in good hands, but on the day of our wedding THEY EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!!They worked fabulously with my amazing wedding planner, Kelly from The Main Event by Kelly to ensure our vision was BROUGHT TO LIFE!In our song, “Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett he says “If I never get to see the Northern Lights I could Die a Happy Man.”Therefore, our colors were green and blue to symbolize the Northern Lights.I’ll let the picture speak for itself to see if we nailed it.Our wedding was seamless and EXACTLY what we wanted!MAKI (the bridal attendant) IS THE BEST! I needed floss, she had it to me in less than a minute, my dress needed a tide pen, she had it. I needed lip gloss, it was in her hand before I could ask.Mazzone Hospitality is an amazing TEAM and WORKED as ONE BIG TEAM WITH our amazing VENDORS!”

“My fiancée and I went for our anniversary Nd had an amazing experience, completely made by our incredible waitress - Tori. Between the right amount of fun conversation while allowing us to share our time together and the spot-on recommendations, couldn’t have imagined a better experience. “This is a review of only the cocktail lounge. Friends from out of town were staying in the carriage house behind the hotel and we agreed to gather in the lounge for a drink or two.The building itself is impressive, although maybe not quite as impressive as the castle-looking building next door. Our party of seven settled in at the bar as there otherwise did not seem to be a large enough table for all of us to gather around in either the main lounge area or a small room off to the side. The dark wood paneled walls, large fireplace, assortment of easy chairs, couches, and high desktop table gave off a feeling of warmth and welcoming. The friendly bartender introduced herself (sorry I've forgotten her name) and informed us that spirit-wise, the bar was capable of preparing the standard, traditional drinks like Manhattans, martinis, etc. All beers were poured from cans, and at my request, she recited the names of about six that were available. I don't believe anyone in our party inquired about the wines that were available. The building simply calls out for an explanation of its history. Upon our request, the bartender offered to provide either the "brief" or "full" option. We requested the full history. She was obviously well up to the task. You would be amazed at the variety of things you could learn here. Just to touch on a few key topics that were mentioned, consider Alexander Hamilton's wife, puffed rice, Bab-o cleanser (cue up the jingle), Bishop Gibbons, and an orthopedic surgeon. I don't know what the normal food arrangements are in the Lounge. I'm guessing that our out-of-town hosts requested some snacks for us as a few bowls appeared with mixed nuts, crackers and cheese, fresh grapes, humus, and warm pretzel/croissant rolls, and a plate of prosciutto wrapped cream cheese.Overall, the atmosphere here is simply friendly and inviting. I think it will become an occasional gathering place for our local friends when looking for a place that is quiet and relaxing.”

“The staff is absolutely the kindest! My friend and I went for public skating and were greeted by Danna. I had never been ice skating before so i was feeling nervous, but after chatting with her she made me feel safe and really welcomed. I will be coming back not only for the ice skating but also because of the staff! If a staff member is reading this, thank you for your hospitality. I am very pleased :)”

“My step son Justin Park has played indoor football at Afrim's Sports park in Albany for several years. I saw a Tornado table there months ago with kids wanting to play but the table was all jammed up and not playable. Today I went to watch the indoor football game and brought my bag of Tornado tools and parts and replaced the bearings, a fews guys and pins, cleaned up the playing surface, and rods, new balls and repaired the broken coin slot. Nobody knew who I was or why I was doing this. I had my 518 Foosball shirt on and then met and exchanged personal info with the owner Afrim. I love this sport and love Afrims Sports.”

“Been here before. Will go back again. Very nice clean place. Eat in bar grill restaurant on site. Always with a good crowd and great staff. “I recently had a stay at this hotel and had an issue with a reservation. I spoke with Hazel at the front desk and she helped me with outstanding service and made me feel at ease because she clearly knew what she was doing. At the end of it all Hazel had everything fixed and I thanked her very much.”
