“While traveling across the United States, I accidentally stumbled upon this cute little town and bought some souvenirs from this remarkable store there. The cashier was very helpful and polite. A lot of nice items, perfect for souvenirs/gifts.

“It’s the kind of used bookstore you can get lost in. If I were a local, it would be part of my daily routine. The shelves are thoughtfully labeled, and the place has an energy that feels. You can tell when an owner genuinely loves the books and records they carry. The Bruised Apple is one of those stores. Worth stopping in if you want to get lost for a few hours.”

“Me and one of my girls decided to walk around main st this past weekend and came upon this hidden gem. The owner was really kind and the chocolate I purchased was delicious. I also got an organic bar soap made out of goat milk and honey. I was excited to try it because I suffer from sensitive skin and keratosis pilaris. The soap felt so soothing and my skin felt amazing after.”
“i absolutely love this bookstore. there is a lovely, well-curated collection of (mostly) used and (some) new books. the prices are affordable in a way i really haven’t seen elsewhere, especially considering that the used books are still in good condition from what i’ve seen. the bookkeeper is also very knowledgeable and cool! anytime i am in or near beacon i will for sure be going here :)”
“For us this is a way to have a day out enjoy the spiritual way of life. Love going here interesting books various articles and if you're in the 12 steps plenty of items to pick up. Including books medallions chips whatever you want to call it. Plus going to the top of the mountain is definitely breath taking! Love coming here once a month. Plus you also have the thrift store bottom of the mountain”
“The Field Library is a regular shopping spot for me. I always find good reads at an extremely low price. Customer service is always top notch. I find books from a wide variety of genres and subjects, both fiction and non-fiction. The children’s section can’t be beat. They also offer DVDs and CDs as well which is nice if you like to have physical copies of your media and they’re usually always in good condition. 5 stars!”
“The store is well-organized and fully stocked with enticing merchandise. There's a wonderful gift area near the entrance, with an interesting array of ephemera, greeting cards, and possibly the largest selection of bookmarks that I've seen anywhere. Ashley was particularly knowledgeable and helpful for locating the subjects I was interested in. Bright and a pleasure to work with! I look forward to the re-opening of the café this summer.”
“I love the store itself! It loses one star for the absolutely DISGUSTING bathrooms. I was there today (3/11/26) and one toilet was absolutely STUFFED with only God knows what, and there was excrement on the seat in the second stall. The third stall had what looked like dried blood on the floor and scraps of dirty looking toilet paper all on the floor. I was there yesterday and everything that was on the floor then was still on the floor today. Dried blood and all. Which means nobody cleaned the bathroom in the last 2 days. Absolutely DISGUSTING!”
