When I lived in the city, I loved shops like CW Pencil Enterprise and McNally Jackson. Zakka Joy always brings a smile to my face when looking for a gift because they bring in some neat, unique things that are interesting, high quality, thought provoking, tasty, and eco-friendly things I wouldn’t have thought to seek out.”

167 Main St, Beacon“In my opinion, this whimsical shop is worth the day trip to Beacon from NYC! I got the cutest lil kit cat clock (she has a pearl necklace and lashes???), mushroom blind box, gigantic googly eyes and more. I also appreciated the sustainable packaging that sought to encourage employment in the global south. Easily spent an hour here and I can’t wait to come back!My one request is to please stock Sonny Angels :-)”
“I find myself going there often lately. The atmosphere is great and it's easy to find what you need. Also, if you are having trouble finding a specific book, staff is always eager to help.”
“Very helpful staff and knowledgeable. I took a picture of what my son had now and we wanted the next version and they do exactly what to select for me to purchase for Christmas along with the game as well, that can be downloaded instead of the disk”
“Needed some gifts for my 5 year old niece and this spot was perfect plus they have small cute gift items. Mostly eco-friendly and made in the USA good quality products. The owner Fran and brother Steve are sweet, kind and helpful. I bought stuff for my niece (chalkboard crayon, dough, reusable stickers, watercolor paint set, felt carry tote) and then myself (beautiful wooden coaster puzzles, small maple wood cutting board, wood night light). I also went back in b/c my husband wanted to speak to Steve who's a also a Veteran and got wooden lego builder w/ colored pencils which I think I'll keep for myself, haha! I wanted to buy some wooden earrings and essential oil therapy dough but had to stay within budget lol. Well we come around at least once a month so will get it next time!”
