I simply cannot say enough good things about this branch (Harned Rd, COMMACK NY), not to mention Jonathan the branch manager and Cassandra, my regular teller. Just wonderful people and even proactively engaging with their valued clients membership. Love this branch and all these great folks!!!

I went to BPCU at the Commack branch on Friday June 16th afternoon during my lunch break. I was called to walk up to teller window with Peter. Wow...He had such a collalsosal smile and that goes a long way. I gave him my driver license and he quickly looked up my account and confirmed my password and I told him the amount I wish to withdraw. He swiftly entered the amount, the money came out of the macine, and placed the money in the envelope. I was so amazed how he completed my transaction with such precision. He is trained well and I recieved Service Excellence at 100%. People nowadays are quick to complain, are aways in rush and not take to time to observe and just say thank you. Job Well Done...

Had an issue with another bank opening an Estate account. Thankfully this bank came to the rescue. Susanna was great and nice and helped us. She was very informative and explained everything. Highly recommend this bank. Not sure of the other bad reviews on here but I had a good experience. Go in and ask for Susanna.

Looking to open checking and savings accounts. Went to branch and was told i needed arrange an appointment. I tried calling toll free. Long hold time requested call back. Never got one. Tried emailing contact information. They never contacted me for an appointment. I called toll free again and held. Very nice young lady assured me I would be contacted with 24-48 hours. Again nothing. Will be looking for another bank. Terrible customer service

One too many problems with this bank. I've had it. Not only was my vacation completely inconvenienced by this bank, I used this bank for a shared branch transaction. Guess what...that transaction doesn't show on my bank account, and this bank won't respond to the accounting department so the problem has yet to be rectified. No more with this place.

I go into a local BFCU office to discuss consolidating my mortgage and HELOC . The loan officer says great idea, takes a whole bunch of information and says it should be an easy slam dunk approval after looking over my finances. I pay the $100 application fee . Weeks go by and he requests more info and I supply him with everything he asks for . He says everything is in order and sends it up the ladder to the loan officer who requests I get an appraisal at a cost of $500 . I do that and appraisal comes in fine . Then the loan officer calls me and wants me to get a letter stating that one of my sources of income is guaranteed for the next 3 years. I said there is no way I could possibly do that and he says , well I don't think this is gonna work out . I told him that I was basically pre-approved with my income already by the original loan officer but he said his hands are tied . So I'm out the $100 application fee which they refused to refund and the $500 appraisal fee . I would have never even applied if the first guy hadn't said it should be no problem. I've made Multiple calls to BFCU but the won't budge . Even sent a certified letter to the CEO with no response. This credit union likes to call themselves customer owned but that is total BS . Next letter is going to the banking commission. Be very wary using these crooks. As an update , BFCU promised to " get back to me " , but 30 days later , still haven't heard a word from them . Hopefully the NCUA Consumer Assistance Center where I filed a complaint will get some satisfaction for me
