“It was such an amazing experience. Everyone was nice and accommodating. Lisa and United Ways, thank you for making this weekend possible. It's something I will never forget. The horticulture class is relaxing and so hands-on. It was a perfect experience. Yoga and Reiki were my first time, and it was such a spiritual experience. Jenny's writing workshop was my first, and I loved it so much. I learned a lot. Thank you all for this perfect time with all of you. As a woman veteran, thank you for helping me find myself. There are so many workshops and things to do here that it was eye-opening.”
“Wish we found this place much sooner. We were in process of moving and had a few items we were ready to toss because others wanted new unused items.Helping hands greeted us with open arms and were more than happy to take our donations, including unopened food items, even butter. All items would be going to families in need.We got to help load a truck with other volunteers one day, care packages of baby items, and bags of clothing for children of all ages, clothing for adults of all size. And each bag was labeled to help make distribution easier.Thank-you Helping Hands”

Once I submitted the form online, it was less than 24 hours before I received a call to review my needs and their services. They were so helpful, kind and compassionate. They walked me through the entire process. Everything was exactly like they explained. No surprises, no issues with travel from start to finish. “Such an amazing place! My daughter has been so happy here. The teachers treat my daughter as if she was there own and she cannot wait to go back every day. She has learned so much, and they were so helpful with the transition process. Very interactive including several field trips, guest speakers, events and more! I cannot recommend this place enough. Over the summer my daughter has not stopped talking about going back to school and every time we pass the building she asks to go to school.”

“This place is wonderful. Joseph, our kitty has been a joy and everyone the staff is protective of the animals they care for. Rightfully so. I love that. They truly care about the fluffy friends they find homes for. As you can see, Joseph is LOVED. He rescued us. <3. The staff at this place is wonderful. . That kind of commitment in a day and age where so many pets are disposed of and euthanized is precious and necessary. Good Job Little Shelter. xx”
“Our family raised 6 seeing eye dogs. It was such a rewarding experience for the whole family. To see the puppy you held in your arms "graduate" and go on to lead a blind person around the world from subway stations to airplanes. We always mentioned that the directors, Mrs and Mr Beagle were so helpful with our first retriever puppy.”
“This Y has very nice updates. The workout room is very clean with new machines. The pool is very nice and clean. Also the people that work there are very friendly. I was enjoying a Zumba class but I won't be doing it again. I was dancing, an older woman came in around ten minutes late and kept inching closer. All I said was, could you please move over. I was actually called aside at the next class by the teacher and Despina said something seeing it on the camera. I was in no way rude. Interesting how they automatically said something to me and not to her, arriving late also. Gee I wonder why. ? Despina blocked me on Facebook, (also Rachel). I had messaged Despina and then realized I'm blocked. I don't know what her problem is. She knows me and used to be very friendly. I also might not do your 5k next year and I've done it every year. Who cares right? Smh”
“We made a great sofa purchase, along with home accessories, recently at Society of St. Vincent de Paul Long Island's thrift store in Huntington. We fell in love with the sofa's look and comfort -- and the great price. We were so pleased that we've returned again today for an additional sofa purchase. Our sales rep, Michelle, was fantastic.”
