“My visit was in June, so obviously there was no skiing. My work was having their yearly conference here, and it's an interesting place. I grew up in the Adirondack mountains, and the theme of this place is like a classic Adirondack lodge on steroids. But it's all pretty nice, even if it's a bit overdone.
That said, it's a cashless place, so make sure that you have your card on you in case you want to buy anything. Along that same vein, as much as the little convenience store sells Starbucks coffee, they don't take gift cards or the Starbucks app for payment.
The lodge itself shares a wall with the water park, so you can come and go straight from your room without going outside.
The rooms seem to be an odd mix, but that may be because the lodge is, at base, a timeshare establishment. Some rooms have connecting doors, some have balconies, and some have kitchenettes. Some of the rooms on the top floor have both balconies and kitchenettes, (gas) fireplaces, and an upstairs loft area.”
“Overall it was a great experience. I would have given 5 stars, but the employees smoking just a few yards from the entrance was an issue. The first thing we saw when we arrived was 3 or 4 sitting at the table just outside the door. It was an eyesore and the odor was far from appealing. This should not be the first thing you encounter upon arrival. I also understand the employees are multi-tasking, but to have to stand and wait to check-in so the front desk employee can finish her cigarette is not the best way to do business.”
“The rooms are clean but old, everything is outdated and I wouldn’t mind if they didn’t want to over charge for the rooms, everything is caulking and paint. So sad, they are over charging for a small nothing special room.”

“The staff at the front desk were very friendly , accommodating & helpful. The room was very clean & well appointed & the bed super comfortable. Breakfast was great……everything hot & tasty (even the coffee…..lol). The location was a bit further off the main highway than we normally like when travelling but it was well worth the drive. There are lots of restaurants within a very short distance from the hotel.”
“Clean, cozy and quaint and price was right $122 one night compared to hotels close by almost $200+. Easy on and off I-81. Small rooms but clean. Pleasant staff. Would definitely stay here again!”

“A very nice stay! Minor updating going on but not bothersome at all. Great front desk staff, super clean room and extremely comfortable bed. Convenient to Homer Center for the arts. We would definitely stay again!”
