“The “Rembrants” of Mercedes Auto Body Repair
Highly recommend Route 303 Auto Body. They are located 54 miles away (there are dozens of closer auto body repair shops). Rt. 303 was recommended & certified by the Mercedes-Benz of Wappingers Falls dealership. Katherine Lee, my daughter, was driving her son to school, stopped in traffic, and was hit from behind at high speed by a driver claiming his vision was obstructed by the morning sun.
Her 2019 M-B C300 sustained severe damage, including the electronics system. The car took a little longer than expected, but it was understandable because Rt 303 uses M-B factory parts. Steve, the Operations Manager, was great to work with; he’s very professional, personable, knowledgeable, and the car was ready when he said it would be. He handled all of the communication with my insurance company.
When we went to pick up the car, my daughter and I were speechless! The car looked better than when it rolled out of the dealership. Their hard/professional work exceeded all of our expectations. Steve and the entire Route 303 Auto Body Team are 5-Star performers, their workmanship is truly a work of art, and that is why we call them the “Rembrants” of Mercedes-Benz Auto Body Repair!

“Rodaks save our behinds last weekend. We were driving up from the city in the area and noticed on the way back home that the undercarriage pan had come loose and we could not reattach it into place because it was so heavy. We brought the care here just 1/2 hour before closing suspecting a bigger problem and then took us right away with a smile. Turns out that, not only was the pan loose but it was packed with about 30lbs of compacted ice and snow that had been accumulating from the week prior. They defrosted it, removed it and sent us on our way with good conversation. So grateful. Guys like these are hard to come by these days.”

“Our go-to body shop! A few years ago I took a Subaru Impreza off the beaten track for some fun and ripped the front bumper off. Within a few days they had ordered, painted, and installed a new front bumper on my Impreza perfectly! Recently I upgraded to a Ford Explorer with a cracked front fender flare - they glued the flare in place and temporarily taped it up for me within 10 minutes of me pulling into the shop without an appointment! Great, friendly service and always a proper job. Highly recommended!”

“I've had so many bad experiences with car mechanics over the years that I have come to just expect it, mostly in the form of blatant overcharging for work, recommending unneeded repairs (hello, brakes that somehow need to be replaced every year!), and sometimes just outright shoddy work. I'd become convinced that this is just the normal state of things, part of the game when owning a car. They overcharge you, you push back and work out a price that's still too high but whatever. They try selling you unneeded work, you decline, they push, you decline again, they come up with other unneeded services, you decline. Etc., etc., ad nauseum. So I've been more than a bit shocked at my experiences at Doerr's. No drama, no overcharging, no constant overselling of services, nothing. Just quiet, competent work for a fair price. You drop off the car and ask him to do an oil change? He'll do the oil change and charge you a nominal price, not 3x the going rate with an added note that you need to change your brand-new brakes because they're "wearing thin". You drop off the car for a New York inspection? He sees you need new wipers, calls to tell you so, charges you $18 per wiper - not $80 - and your car is ready for pickup. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, but, to my perpetual amazement, it never does. It's my highest compliment, one I feel uneasy giving given how many times I've been let down by other mechanics, but- this guy is honest. He and his shop are a diamond in the rough.”

Passed Julio's Auto shop, where I had had many excellent experiences, stopped, and asked if he had time...he squeezed me in and I was on my way in no time. Where else would you get such service?”

After speaking to the people at Four Star, they not only fixed the problem again at no charge. They also prioritized my car and got the parts rushed so they can return the car to me within 2 days.
