Irene and the team at CVS in Target—Mount Kisco, NY—should be recognized for always going above and beyond. If I had to choose one of the other two CVS options, I would find somewhere else to fill my prescriptions.”

“My husband and I have our non-mail order Rx sent here and have not had an issue with medications being filled. When one medication was out of stock they called and suggested a different way for the doc to write the dosing so it could be filled (two 5mg tabs instead of one 10mg). It worked and meant we got our meds the same day. I would love to give 5-stars, but the line to collect a Rx is seventh-ring-of-hell experience. I am on immune suppressants, and even though I mask in line, I am constantly surrounded by sick people coughing and hacking, waiting for their Rx. Not blaming the sick people, this is where sick people need to go! My issue is with the chronic understaffing. They will have one person on register at peak hours. The line can be 15-20 people long. I shouldn't have to risk getting sick, waiting in line for 30 minutes for my medication. I've tried going early morning, midday, just before closing, weekdays and weekends, and the line is always terrible.”
“When I first moved to CT, I went with a national pharmacy and didn't think a moment about the decision. It was only after years of disservice at that national brand that I finally found my way to Pound Ridge Pharmacy and I am fortunate that I did. The people at Pound Ridge Pharmacy are wonderful and go the extra mile for their clients. When I was late getting to the pharmacy, they stayed open. When more than a few times my Rx was hard to find, they called around and found and secured it for me. They are part of the community and treat you like the neighbors that you are. “I am very sick and finally able to have a virtual visit with my doctor around 4:30pm this afternoon, my doctor sent the prescription to Rite Aid and I know they close at 5pm and I know there is no way I could get my medication today. Surprisingly I received a phone call from the pharmacist Dominy at 4:46pm and informed me the medication is ready to pick up and she will wait for me. I felt the care and she went above and beyond to take care her customer’s need. All I want to say and give to Dominy and Rite Aid is a big “THANK YOU”!!!”

“Remember how pharmacies used to be? Well some of us do and this reminds me of one of them. Its clean and the staff friendly. They say hello when you walk in and offer to help. They carry a nice assortment of things you may need for daily life. What really differentiates them from other big brand pharmacies is they feel like they are part of community and they really care. That care permeates in all aspects of their business where it does not in others. As a result their store is cleaner and just much more pleasant then any other big pharmacy in all of Westchester. The prices are always the same as bigger stores in the area with a lot less of that general malaise you will find in big pharmacies.”

Even the technicians will help you navigate something confusing.As for reviews that mention irregular hoursLike all pharmacies in this area of the country, they suffer from a shortage of staff which is why you see most pharmacies including this one closed from 1:30-2pm daily for lunch, or an unannounced closing if staff is not available. Fortunately there are several nearby Walgreens that can transfer a RX easily to be filled if needed quickly.”
