“Rick at Fred's Service Center is absolutely THE BEST. He is extremely honest. Whenever I bring my vehicle in, which I have for about 6 years after his friend Helmut retired, I am treated with respect and dealt with in a very truthful, straightforward fashion with quick turnaround as well.
Fred's Service Center is THE place to go for all of your auto repair needs. It is local to Deer Park, all of the Babylons, West Islip, Baywood, Brightwaters, West/North Bay Shore and Dix Hills.
Everyone in all the towns I mentioned should always bring their car/truck to Fred's Service Center.”

“The auto repair guys are awesome I needed a tire valve replaced Quick professional awesomeAnd really went above and beyond Now it's a shame people are rating the gas guy and the mechanic on same The gas station mini mart attending is a complete moron he does not belong working thereI live in the area was using this gas station as my families primary stationSome of my family smokes so we would also go in there to pick up cigarettes etc.After several trips with them being out of stock I was planning to stop using them anyway but I had to get gas so I stopped in to get gas I put my credit card in pumped about 80 bucks worth of gas and the guy shut the pump off in the middle of me pumping.I go inside and asked why did you shut the pump and he's telling me I owe him $20 I said how would I owe you $20 I'm popping from my credit card I don't owe you anything he was extremely confused didn't quite understand I'm starting to get very heatedI told him there's no way you're getting $20 from me I paid all my credit card and I advise you to call the police because I'm not paying you.He finally walked outside and saw that $80 was pumped into my car not $20 and it was all pumped on my credit cardNo apology just a foreign man thinking that all Americans are crookedI never took a nickel that wasn't mine”

“Jay, the owner, (who’s been there almost a decade) is a Super Fair, Super Straight guy.
He will diagnose well, and give it to you straight.
I called LITERALLY 10 Auto Repair Shops for the same job. I had already purchased the parts myself, and as a sidenote, some shops won’t do the work if you’re bringing your own parts. So out of the 10 shops, a couple wouldn’t do it for that reason, several didn’t have availability for anywhere from one to three weeks, and the others ranged in price from $500-$800..
(Replace Radiator + 2 hoses and Thermostat).
Jay hooked it up for $375, and he did it the next day, I didn’t have to wait a week.
I’ve been here several times and the word around town is nothing but GOOD, as far as reputation goes.
So for the 1 or 2 bad reviews here, I promise you they DO NOT reflect the character of this establishment. The 2 bad reviews, I spoke with Jay about both of them in detail, they reflect only the poor character of the reviewers themselves.
Some people want everything for literally nothing, and will try Complaining as a tactic to get what they want. And as a general rule in business and in life, you can’t please everyone.
Pay no mind to those people, this place should have a 5.0 I’m just being honest. Thanks for your help Jay!! I’ll definitely be back and keep referring more business to you, even though you have plenty! ✊?”
