“Didn’t stay at the hotel, but went for the tour and restaurant. Tour guide was excellent, very friendly, and informative. Her name was Vicky I think. Was interesting to hear the countless movies filmed at this palace. And the fact that some of these walls are 2 feet thick. Insane! The restaurant also had a great atmosphere. It was busy, of course, in the afternoon, but the waiters were kind and polite. I got the Eggs Benedict for brunch and it was delicious. The chocolate torte afterwards for dessert was also very sweet but worth it. For $38, the price isn’t too bad for such a luxurious looking place. Overall, this place is genuinely perfect for visiting and taking pictures. People here are so nice. This guy standing by the valet parking even offered to take a picture of me and my friends - and it turned out great!! 100% recommend for people who like mansions, history, good food, and just experiencing a wealthy lifestyle lol.”

“I absolutely love this hotel! This hotel is immaculate. The people that work here are friendly and helpful. The lobby is incredible, the amenities are incredible, and the rooms are incredible. There’s not another hotel on Long Island that I would ever consider staying at. I would like to comment, though on the one thing that I am unhappy about, and that’s the bathrooms. The first thing is that there is no ventilation in the bathrooms. There is a small vent in the ceiling, however, I believe that is for the air conditioning and heating. The water pressure that comes out of the shower is so strong too, but if you want to have nice hot water, that’s the type of pressure that you have to use. With the water pressure being so intense, it is nearly impossible to prevent water from spilling out onto the bathroom floor. Every time I have taken a shower here, when I am getting dried off, there is usually a flood of water outside of the shower, so I right away have to take some towels and throw them on the floor to absorb any water that is on the floor. Also, because of the lack of ventilation, the ceilings always stays dripping wet. Even when nobody is taking a shower, you could see yellow dried water spots on the ceiling, that means that everybody has the same issue that I was experiencing. There should be a way to adjust the water pressure, but after looking at the showerhead, it does not seem like that is possible. I really hope the hotel considers replacing these showerheads with ones that are adjustable, that would help with the water spilling onto the floor. The other issue I have with the bathrooms is that the wash cloths, hand towels, and bath towels, are located on the other side of the bathroom. If you need a towel to get dried off, you have to come out of the shower to take one from the vanity. A suggestion I would make is to remove the painting above the toilet and replace it with a towel rack. That way you could easily reach out of the shower and grab whatever towels you might need. These are minor things that I’m sure can be addressed and I hope that they will be since I plan on spending more time at this hotel whenever I need someplace to stay. I also would like to make one last comment on something that a lot of people also have an issue with, and that’s the actual air conditioner/heater. These units are so noisy. I believe it is because they are not properly maintained. They are very loud when they turn on, and they are very very loud when they are running. They make a lot of noise and again I believe this is something that could be easily fixed if the units are looked into more often. Other than that, this hotel is just amazing. It has close proximity to grocery stores and restaurants and it’s located right off of the main highways. You really can’t pick a better place to stay and I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Thanks for your time for reading my review.”

The bar area is a great place to unwind, and the outdoor space is beautiful—perfect for relaxing, especially with the barbecue area. “This is our second visit to Chalet inns. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. For this visit we splurged and took the king size suite with outdoor patio and view of their beautiful duck pond. Many ducks, birds, a swan, and a pair of mated eagles. Wonderful if you love to watch or film birds”

First, I would like to thank Derrick, the hotel manager, for running such a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained property. It's clear that he takes pride in creating a positive environment for both guests and staff, and it shows in every aspect of the hotel. A special thank you to Maria in housekeeping, whose hard work keeps the rooms spotless and inviting. Her attention to detail and dedication do not go unnoticed. Having a clean, comfortable room every day has made my stay much more enjoyable. I would also like to recognize Brianna at the front desk. She is warm, personable, and genuinely cares about the guests. She consistently greets everyone with a smile and goes above and beyond to help. When my boyfriend accidentally drained his vehicle's battery, Brianna didn't hesitate to help jump-start it. That level of kindness and customer service is something you don't see every day. I would also like to thank the maintenance gentleman on site. I don't know his name, but I never seem to see him resting. He is always working, always fixing something, and always helping to keep the property looking its best. His hard work is a big reason this hotel runs so smoothly, and I hope he knows his efforts are noticed and appreciated. Another thing that has made this stay special is the community here. Several of the long-term residents have been incredibly friendly and helpful, whether it was lending an extra dish when I needed one or helping me out when I unexpectedly ran out of Tylenol. Those small acts of kindness made a lasting impression. As a dog owner, I especially appreciate how welcoming this property has been for our dogs. The dog park is always clean and well maintained, giving them a safe and enjoyable place to play and exercise. It is clear that the hotel values guests traveling with pets and understands that they are family too. The breakfast bar is consistently stocked and never feels crowded, making mornings easy and enjoyable. Overall, this hotel offers much more than just a place to stay. It provides a welcoming atmosphere, caring staff, hardworking employees, and a genuine sense of community that is hard to find. Thank you, Derrick, Maria, Brianna, the maintenance staff, and everyone else who works so hard to make guests feel at home. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.”

“Never stood here but was visiting a longtime high school friend whos now in Florida! I do remember when this was huntington country inn as a little boy! this place was also recently newly renovated from top to bottom and love how the vending machines restrooms were immaculate and the way they kept the history alive! I never knew this was also a howard johnson back in the 1950s so my guess is that they went private in 2000 then eventually rodeway bought them out! Overall not a bad place to stay too! Its been so long since ive seen this place as well! So worth coming back as a guest.”
