“I am new to the areas and my car began to make multiple different noises. I googled shops near me and found Dadswells! They were able to get my car in quickly, and had my car returned to me the same day! The noises ended up being very minor things - parts needed cleaned and shifted around as they were catching. They took care of it - did not charge me - and I have not heard any of the noises ever since! I was very pleased with the honesty of this shop. Everyone I spoke to explained every step of their process to me, I felt very involved and understood everything they said!”
“I used to go to Cesar’s as a newly postpartum, single mom. Back then, I had a three year old Chevrolet Trax, which continued to have issues and it was very stressful. This is the type of situation that some mechanics will take advantage of. Not Cesar.
Cesar treated me like a daughter, to the extent that I am writing this review, six years later because I still think of his kindness, even though my situation has improved.
Cesar never overcharged me, he talked to me with respect, he was kind, courteous, fair and patient. He knew a little about my situation, and he knew it was very important for me to feel like we were in good hands. When mechanics in the family wouldn’t step up to help us, Cesar filled that void.
I’m not sure why I didn’t think to write this review sooner but I’m deeply grateful to have been able to have this type of experience.
This is the best mechanic in the area. I can confidently say that.

“First and foremost I would like to share that my vehicle was taken to the dealer three times and they were unable to Dx the issue with my vehicle.
Bill and his team were professional, kind and patient. They diagnosed the issue as a water pump and my driving shaft. The car was previously serviced in November at the dealership and they told me the sound was exterior. The vehicle was making a whistling sound at 78,000 miles.
Bill and his team take their business and professional seriously they know their skill and they get the job done. They make sure when you leave that your vehicle is safe and reliable. Most importantly they are sincere and caring and they work with you. I appreciate you Bill and your team thank you for caring and doing things right in 2026.”

“This auto shop is, sadly, a rarity in today’s day and age: a straightforward, honest business that performs quality work. They’re right up the street for me, which is a godsend whenever I need work done. My only qualm is that they’re always booked, sometimes weeks out. Still, the aforementioned is indicative of the great work they do and the consistently high demand they enjoy; definitely a first world problem. I just hope that labor shortages don’t affect their otherwise stellar service over the long run. Highly recommended.Services: Tire rotations”

“Tony at Scruggs on Main in Amherst saved me when my wipers stopped working during a torrential downpour ! For some reason my wipers froze and I couldn't see a thing after leaving the vet next door. I pulled across the lot and asked if they could help. He stood in the pouring rain and did everything he could to figure out what was wrong on my new car. He got me Rainex for the windshield after he loosened them up enough to finally get them working, to make sure I could still see while taking the car in for a warranty repair. And filled up my reservoir as well. Absolutely excellent customer service that's so hard to find anywhere anymore. I will definitely take my car the them for everything it needs and truly recommend them.”

“Twas the day before the first snowstorm & we all packed Fox Tire for tires on our vehicles when along comes shop manager calling us by name & vehicle name. The mechanics took no breaks & knocked out work order after work order so we could get back to work or home. Surely there will be a complaint but Fox did all they could to handle us all as timely as possible. Happy Thanksgiving Buffalo & Go Bills Go Sabres!”
“Matt were great!
Called Matt, there was a grinding sound coming from under the front end of the car.Matt had us bring it in immediately.
After he drove the car and heard the noise he checked the front breaks. There was a rock that got caught between the rotor and break pad. If Matt didn’t pay such close attention to the noise it might have taken him a lot longer to discover the hidden rock.
Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and timely, plus great pricing. My car is running with no noise. I will definitely take my car back if I experience any other problems!”

“I was driving to work when something seemed to fall off from under my car and was dragging on the ground. I pulled off into a parking lot and tried calling a few mechanics that were in the area. Five Star was the only one who picked up and told me to come right in. Ron introduced himself to me and took the time to show me what was going on underneath my car. Luckily it was an easy fix that took about 5 minutes (heat shield kept rusting out and falling, needed to be removed) and Ron did not charge me for it since we decided not to replace the part and it was a quick fix. I was very thankful for the fast service and thorough explanation, and needless to say, Five Star Automotive made what could have been a stressful morning into a very easy one!”
