“One of the better Dollar Trees because of the quality of the products, the variety of brands, the large size of the store, and how organized they seem to keep everything. I'm impressed Considering the amount of inventory they have every day and the size of that particular store, they keep it pretty tidy. You won't find many things in the wrong aisle or knocked over on the floor. I've been to some Dollar Trees, Dollar Generals and Family Dollars that look like a hurricane blew thru the store with stuff everywhere and dirty floors. The Dollar Tree has way more items in the store, than DG or Family Dollar, but you never see boxes of inventory, from the floor to the ceiling, blocking whole aisles or sections of the store. I don't know what the staff is doing differently there but it's nice to walk into a place that's so organized. It actually makes me spend some more money because I'm not in a rush to leave bc of how cluttered and messy the store is. That location for sure is one of the better Dollar stores. I know some people have said the cashiers and employees there were rude there. I never experienced any of that type of attitude at all from the employees there. If anything, they are all polite and helpful. I've never had an interaction with an employee there that had me feeling a type of way. The workers never made me feel like I was bothering them if I asked them a question. They always answer to the best of their ability and if they don't know what I'm talking about, they will ask a co-worker or manager. 5 stars for this particular Dollar Tree ?”
“Great place to take my grandkids, but, watch out for items that are NOT Below five dollars! My grandson wanted a Minecraft Lego set, small little box. When I checked out, the cashier asked if I wanted the item because it was $34.99! I paused and looked at my grandkids. I did buy it, but, I never expected it to cost that much in this store!”

“Would give five stars but they didn’t have what we wanted. They had phone cases for every iPhone from 17’s back to 13’s yet not a single one for the SE model, which was still produced as recently as February. While it’s not the most popular iPhone model, both my children have one of the 3rd generation and I’d expect at least one or two cases, especially if they’re still offering ones for 13’s. Now Amazon is our only alternative.”

“The store was well stocked, the employees were helpful, the store was clean, and the experience overall was pleasant and productive. I went in for 3 items for my father and ended up buying a few things for the house, (& myself) because the price was right & we needed the items. There were only two minor disappointments. The first was that I couldn't find any foundation, and I needed some. The second thing was that they were stocking shelves and one of the isles had so much stuff laid out on the floor I had to move things to get down the isle to the item I needed. However, the worker was very apologetic, polite and professional about it and it made the experiences turn from slightly annoying to positive interaction. I left the store with a smile.”

You cannot comprehend a store like DGX until you have a go at it for a few rounds and see what it is they stand for which is perhaps all of your favourites at a decent price! There is no comparison when it comes to this store because let's just say it, we can go for broke and when it comes to location you can leave and walk down the street and still have some money to grab a bagel or smoothie from somewhere else. Stop by as you casually walk Salina Street and grab a treat or whatever you need.”

“I came in for a drink as I was driving by and there was a cat in the store! The employees told me they have tried taking him out many times but he just keeps opening the doors and coming back in. He's super loveable and I ended up staying longer and buying more items... unfortunately for my bank account haha. While in line, some old lady was giving the employee and hard time and said she was calling corporate to report the cat.Please don't let them take the cat from this store! “I'm pretty new to the store. I understand it's the holiday season but all the unpacked stock in shopping lanes was not good. The lanes in the store are very narrow. I suggest (if) you have another place to put the stock before it's put on the store shelf store it there and do one lane at a time or one dolly at a time. The customers will have an easier time getting around the store.All the employees stayed very busy shelving product up front and the cashiers were very patient as people came up front to check out. I was very happy with the customer service. I'll return after the holidays to update. There is good parking.”
“Family Dollar is always a splendid experience. They consistently have stuff I need the other, more popular stores are out of. And it always costs less. And I can park without having to walk or get a shuttle a to the front door. They employees are almost always friendly & helpful. Tonight was last minute laundry supplies. I found everything including the absolutely best hangars I've ever used (I take my laundry a bit too seriously?). And I saved an extra $2 with their app! They're turning into my go-to store instead of the 3rd one down the line. Y'all can have that "W" place with it's useless "savings" card, packed, too big parking lot and store brand driven shopping. Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
