“I used to love Plato’s closet. It’s clean, well organized, the staff is lovely. However, since I have gained weight I noticed that the VAST majority of the store is small/medium sizes, with xl/2xl taking up a tiny portion of the racks. This is really disappointing to me, but maybe it’s just because people aren’t selling many clothes of that size. All this being said, if you wear a size small/medium or even large you will have a great time here. Just don’t be fat 🫠”
“We're expecting soon and decided to check this place out. We only ended up grabbing a toy, but there's an extremely large selection of almost everything someone would need. I can definitely see us coming here in the future.”
“*Warning to future shoppers: this store charges an extra 4% for credit card purchases. Bring cash if you can for a better deal*
I absolutely adore this consignment shop. I don't come to Clarence often but when I do it's a must stop. Last time I thought they were gone because a different consignment shop was in their original location. Today I found their new home! So exciting. Lots of different rooms to explore and so many items to choose from. Pricing is very fair and I enjoyed the simple system. Most clothing started at $8-10 a piece with a good size range and a good amount of clearanced items for even less. tchotchke and knick knacks $5 or $10. Nicely curated. That's the difference between this and a thrift shop.
I've read the other reviews and there seems to be some unhappy consignors on the selling side. My advice is to adjust expectations. Consignment of used clothing and goods is tough. Turnover has to be quick in order to pay all the bills the store has. Be diligent in keeping track of your items while they are there and don't wait too long to go back.”
“Amazing community resource for historic and low cost building materials. There's now even an art supplies section for new and gently used supplies. Highly recommend!”
“Relaxing, enjoyable trip to this shop… my home has many things I see at this shop in it… great clothing, shoes, purses, beautiful gifts for yourself or someone else … candles, soaps, antiques, pretty things that I just love… I Love this shop… always stop by to take time for myself to enjoy it all!”
“This place BLEW MY MIND. It honestly felt like I had stepped back in time!
I was amazed by the selection and offerings of Funky Town Vintage. They seem to specialize in mid-century modern and 70's furniture. They also had A TON of old jukeboxes, stereos, tv's and speakers.
Perhaps the most interesting find was a shag/fur 70's headboard with mirrors above the pillows and a built-in stereo system with 8-track (sadly I did not take a picture).
They also had a really cool man-cave/basement section with 70's barware and electronics.
The prices will make your eyes bulge, but if you are an avid collector/interior-designer/movie-prop coordinator, you MUST check this place out!
Free Parking on-site. They also offer u-haul rentals for those who need it (pretty clever in the off chance you decide to buy something large unexpectedly).
A note for accessibility: This place is mobility friendly, the entrance is ground level, and there is a ramp to take you to the back warehouse.”
“Nice little multi-vendor antique/vintage market. We were all Ming for the Ancini diner on this same plaza (great breakfasts) and stumbled across this antique shop. Glad we did! Got some vintage tools at a good price. Real mix of vintage, collectibles, garage sale items and antiques. Mix of furniture and smalls. Never know what you'll find!”
“I love this store. I visit them every month or so. I only shop at the kitchen and home sections.
Always have found stuff I need for less. Simple stuff like a paper towel holder, thermos, cups. I have seen good rocking chairs and drawers every once in a while...a pity I didn't have a car at that moment. I have also donated stuff here, like books.”

“My daughter and I had an amazing experience at this consignment store yesterday! The selection of luxury brands like Gucci, Chanel, YSL, and Lilly Pulitzer was fantastic. It’s not every day you find such high-quality, designer pieces in one place. The store is beautifully organized, and I was truly impressed by the variety and condition of the items.
What really stood out, though, was the owner. She was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made the whole experience enjoyable, offering great recommendations and making sure I felt at home while browsing. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for designer items at a fraction of the price—definitely worth the visit!”
“For well over 15 years, I have purchased furniture and accessories from this wonderful store. The staff is fantastic and the service is equally so.
I don’t usually write reviews, but this is a store that is consistently excellent. When you want to find furniture and accessories that are both unique and beautiful, this is the place to go.”
“Great bartenders, cheap drinks and everyone is friendly here. They host events open to the public usually once a month with live bands. They also have fish fry Fridays from 4-8 every Friday that are delicious. Would definitely recommend.”
“In these harsh times its hard to dish out $$ for nice clothing...
They have gently used & never warn clothes !!!
Take advantage of Wednesday 50% off.
This includes EVERYTHING in store, also picked up needed gadgets..”
“Thankfully the owner is selective. She has an eye for style, quality, and carries a very refined taste in clothing. I find that instead of having to sort through the junk like I do at most consignment shops, everything at her store is already sorted with the greatest styles and quality.”
“Very nice Shop. Owner is very friendly. This shop has a mixture of home Nic knacks and Women's Clothing. I could easily spend an hour in this shop looking around. Check them out. I have bought a very nice rug from her and some clothing. Totally satisfied. Shes pretty reasonable in pricing and has neat finds especially for the home.”
