They have a great selection...most of the time. Customer service is hit or miss, feast or famine... Either you'll get an employee who is very knowledgeable and helpful or you'll get...trash customer service (which seem to be behind a lot of these 1-star reviews). Stopped by for a couple of things this morning. The first couple of employees I spoke to were GREAT! Very helpful, cool, professional, all good things. The guy at the service desk...ugh. UPDATE: Home Depot reached out and shared a link where I could elaborate. I'm unable to do so without providing my phone number and email. I'll just elaborate here... One of the reasons I'd stopped by was to begin the process of having a new security door installed. I was directed to the service desk at the front of the store. The young (white Hispanic?) man working there was on the computer when I approached. I asked who I can speak to re: having the door installed. He seemed inconvenienced. His whole vibe was, "why are you bothering me?" I looked to see if there was anyone else at the desk who could assist but it was just him. He asked me to wait a moment. No problem. He then asked if I had the model number of the door I wanted. I brought it up on my phone and showed it to him. He looks and says, "we don't have that in stock. It says so right here." I was taken aback by his tone. He'd asked what door I was interested in and I showed him. I didn't examine the page to see if it was available or not. He could've told me that it was not in stock and said, if you ever want to know if an item is in stock, you could look here, or something to that effect. The way he said, "it says so right here" was rude and condescending. Direct, to the point, or even curt, is one thing. But the young man at the Home Depot service desk was just rude. Maybe he was having a bad day at 10:30am. I came home and reached out to other companies to install my door. If that young man is what I'll have to deal with to have my door installed by Home Depot, I'll spend my money elsewhere. Oh! I might also add comments from a couple of co-workers who live in the area and have visited this Home Depot. They no longer feel comfortable going there because of the migrants hanging out there. They'll either visit a Home Depot in the city or order from Amazon. Let's end on a high note... As I've mentioned, they have a good selection. Their hours are great (6am-10pm, most days). More often than not, the customer service is good!

When I went to ask a staff member where the light bulbs are, that person sighed and sounded rude, she didn't even try to help me. if you want to open this, train your staff better. I can't stand the rudeness they gave me

I came to this home depot with the intention of having them do my hallway and bathroom floors. A project that will range between 4 to 6 thousand dollars. I was going to schedule a measuring of the area. Only problem was that I needed to use the bathroom first. They want bathroom use for customers with receipt. I Asked a worker to please allow me to use the bathroom. The guy was very rude telling me if I didn’t see the sign. I replied yes but I had an emergency and I didn’t have the time to buy something to be able to use the bathroom. Totally dismissed me. Like I said extremely rude. He proceeded to open the bathroom door and walked in. At the same time another customer, male, who didn’t seem to have bought anything walked out of another bathroom. I sneaked in and used the bathroom. Needless to say I will be bringing my business to Lowe’s or another Home Depot without a ridiculous bathroom policy as this Home Depot. If this is the policy for every Home Depot, they lost a customer for life. Very disappointing.

Been going here since it opened. Customer service was always horrible but today I found they now lock the bathrooms with a sign saying ask an associate to open the bathroom. I somehow ran into an overweight middle age worker who when I asked to open the bathroom so I could wash my hands because of the filth of the store, she told me while guzzling a can of soda that you need to show a receipt before they would allow you to use the bathroom. She then proceeded to tell me there were signs everywhere regarding this (haven't seen one) They've made several changes to the store by way of security but have not bothered to improve or provide any half way decent customer service, or provide some security in the parking lot that is full of suspicious men standing around harassing folks coming to and leaving the store. If you have the ability, avoid this location, any other home depot or home improvement store would be a better experience.

I went to this Home Depot to purchase a light bulb. I went to go use the restroom before I bought my item and was told that I needed to make a purchase before I was able to due to security issues. Since I was uncomfortable, I left the store and made my purchase elsewhere. This should be told to Ben Hill.

This is my favorite Home Depot in the area. It’s organized, staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is never packed.

The place is good… parking is the worst not safe… many people roaming around your cars and others…and I saw a lady who literally didn’t need his help but he kind of force himself helping her and the lady keep saying no to him until finally went away… looks dangerous to me… I went with my child and when I went to my car there were 3 men looking at my car and they kind of got startled when I beep the car and they walked away and stared at me… I loved this Home Depot until recently… not safe anymore

Great place. The associates help. One needs to ask though what department they specialize to get better help. Customer service desk answer the phones. Good people.

I just popped in to pick up one item, a Lutron Casetta smart switch. Of course, as I expected, it’s under lock and key. There were four associates working the customer service desk, applying lip balm, playing and giggling. I asked for assistance to retrieve the one product that I was trying to buy and waited 20 minutes for anyone to show up. Finally an associate (Q.W. Khan) from the millwork area on the opposite end of the store showed up and was very kind and helpful. At the end of the day, it took 30 minutes to retrieve one item, and as I waited forever with a bunch of kids working behind the service desk with nothing to do, it was very frustrating. This is why people support Amazon and online retailers. Q.W. Khan to the rescue. He should be store manager. What a mess.

Today I wish to give 10 Stars to Maribel Rodriguez, employee at Home Depot, Astoria, NY. What exceptional customer service. Stopping what she was doing to listen to what I was looking for, took me to the aisle and located the product. She did this with so much interest in me to make sure that I got what I went there for. Congratulations, Maribel, you deserve my best recommendation. Thank you. All the best, Bob.
