“I rented the small Bissell carpet cleaner from DaCorta. The machine was in excellent condition, completely new. The service from the team at DaCorta was great, they went above and beyond to accommodate my rushed request.”
“I've always had an amazing experience with Farrow & Ball and particularly their in-person experience! I called and spoke with a very helpful Martin. He was able to get my paint mixed in 20 minutes and I went to pick it up promptly. I know a lot of people order online, but I also highly recommend going in person and really understanding the paint and sheen you're getting with the help of employees. Thanks, Martin!”
“Amazing customer service! I needed something from the hardware store after they had already closed, and Zak, Naz, and Lou went above and beyond by opening the store back up just to help me. They were extremely kind, patient, and helpful and made sure I got exactly what I needed.
It’s rare to find this level of customer service and people who genuinely care about their customers. Zak, Naz, and Lou truly saved the day for me. I really appreciate them going out of their way, especially so late. Highly recommend this hardware store definitely deserving of 5 stars!”
“Like another reviewer said, coming in here is an experience. David and Peter are just two awesome guys of the community. It’s something out of a movie. The shop is chaotic and disorganized, sure. But they will go up and out of their way to ensure you get what you need and will give you the time of day for even odd hyper specific requests. I was trying to build a guitar pedalboard but make it very customized with a pretty specific thing in mind… but I didn’t really have exact dimensions. David spent off and on about 1-2 hours going through the store and talking me through what I needed and how to do it. Pros and cons. I personally think I can be annoying with some of the trying to understand the how and why but they don’t make you feel that way.
TL;DR: being in there feels like an irl sitcom while also getting very practical help and things.”
“Marnie was not only extremely helpful but she is the kindest person I’ve ever dealt with in retail. I came in shortly after losing my mother and husband within three weeks of each other. I was very emotional and she sat with me and helped me pick out the perfect color. I felt like I had encountered an angel. I will always come back to see her.”
“Casey was so helpful with picking the right color for my bedroom. He has such an extensive background with every paint imaginable, and caters his expertise to exactly what you need. I highly recommend him and his team!”
“Jacob, the young man is fantastic.
His level of kindness and willingness to help even for the very small and minor area is 10/10.
I left the store feeling very happy and with heartfelt humanity which is lacking and very rare these days.
God bless you young man!”
“Worker was helpful and knowledgeable prices are equivalent to Amazon and Home Depot
Went in for a Bike chain and left with the knowledge and tools to fix shower doors and a toilet that wouldn’t stop running”
“Best selection of hardware in Astoria other than going to the LIC or Lex 59th Home Depot. Prices are reasonable, $1.60 out the door for a small box of fasteners! They take credit card for sub ten dollar purchases as well.
My two gripes are 1. that not everything is labeled with a price and 2. that the hours and days of the week the store is open are limited. Other than that, no notes. Shop at local small businesses!”
“Great service, Very helpful for all your needs may be by the paint hardware or kitchens I find all the employees they are very friendly and helpful special shout out for chiu
I highly recommend this place”
“I never leave reviews but I had to. 100000000/10, my first time wall painting and I knew nothing, Agatha and the team were so incredible and patient with me as I stopped by countless times to mix and match colors, buy supplies and try to figure out what the hell I had gotten myself into, they couldn’t have been more thorough, patient, generous and kind. Agatha you are the embodiment of community, you deserve the world and more, thank you for being so passionate and knowledgable about what you do and always going so above and beyond to help .”

“Working with Janovic Plaza for my blinds was a wonderful experience. From purchasing to installation was easy and professional. Everything went very smoothly. Phillip was extremely helpful with our order and Orbin installed them without any issues. I would highly recommend Janovic Plaza if you need blinds!”
“I wish I had visited this place a long time ago when we moved. It’s not just a paint store but also a huge hardware store they carry most of anything that you need for the house. I stopped there this morning and Rich was so helpful and patient. I got the color paint I was looking for my front door.”
“Peter the store Manager is a true gentleman and Carlos the Assistant Manager always a great help there bayside paint is the place to buy all your needs in paint because they treat you like family. Thank you to the staff there as well you guys are awesome.”
“Super helpful & responsive staff! Sent them an email about what I need and they called me back! Thank you! Highly highly recommend!
Oh, and the pricing - better than the “big guys”!”
“Good service. You always have someone to talk to. They have what you purchase on the computer and for which room, but you should buy from them as other Benjamin Moore sellers do not always maintain this information for future use. One time the contractor did not let me know they were painting the following day which was a Sunday. I went to a different store because they close on Sundays. Work done recently, I now have to cut out to match the colors. No fun because I am getting but not perfectly great at plastering. This place is great. When I don't use them, I use Sherwin Williams on Bayside. I think am staying with them and gave 5 perfect stars. They deserve it! Thank you! I am a woman. I do most of my work. They help me. Unfortunately I need to paint the ceiling. Will get advice from them again tomorrow. Need more paint! McGee”
“Impeccable customer service. Chris gave me a master class on how to finish wood- he was honest, thorough, not pushy, and I got what I need at a fair price. Thank you!”

“We’ve had consistent amazing experiences at loconsolo paints! They’ve been so helpful and patient throughout our renovation. Can’t say enough good things about this friendly neighborhood store. Highly, highly recommend!”

“For the last few days it's been HOT! But my window has window guards with these weird screws. I tried Home depot, Amazon, etc etc. no luck. I called Angelos and spoke with Jim, right of the gate he was knowledgeable and helpful. I was so hopeful when I got to the store. He gave me what I needed. The store had this home town feeling. Like y'all need to come here instead of those big corporate stores. You'll get help FAST. Well what he gave me worked and I successfully installed our AC unit. I highly recommend this store! Thanks so much Jim”
“Great place, everyone is very helpful, and goes out of their way to get you what you need! Even if there is a new owner, the same people still work there, and that’s what makes it special!!
Have been coming here for years, and will continue to do that. No other hardware store in the area comes close to the knowledge, experience, and expertise found here”
“Anwar knew exactly what to do for paint. I was completely lost and he helped me pick the right shade and finish to bring my designer’s vision to life. They are good people here who care more that you get what you need rather than to over sell you. I will continue to come here for paint! I had spent $1k at another place but they helped me save money and had the expertise to back it. Thank you!”

“I’ve been coming here for years while living in the neighborhood, and the folks who work here are awesome. They’re super helpful, explain everything without being condescending, and I always leave knowing that I’ve gotten both a good deal and had a great customer service experience. If you’re looking for a well-stocked, friendly, and well-priced neighborhood hardware store then this is the place!”
“Always so helpful and knowledgeable. Very professional yet friendly staff. Excellent customer service and product selection. I grew up going here with mom since the late 60's. It's nice to be back in the neighborhood and have their expertise to rely on for all my home improvement projects.”
“First time at the store! I m not a professional I m just the customer buying stuff for my contractor … Excellent service, great attitude, polite staff, happy explaining things I don’t understand. I just created an account and I will be back !!!”

“At this place, they always give you great service. If you're looking for a paint and can't find it, they'll make it for you; you just need to bring a sample of the color and that's it.”
