I brought my car to Mike a few months ago for a repair that he took care of quickly without any excess problems popping up. Went again today for something, and initially they thought it was a repair running a few hundred dollars. At the last minute one of Mike's mechanics (ernesto? emmanuel?) noticed the part in question had an auto-function and the repair wasn't necessary. Mikes a good guy and for over half a decade I used to drive far out of my way for my former mechanic so it's helpful to have someone local that I can trust with my car.”
“Dropped my car off at like 8:30am on a Saturday, John took my car right away and had it done really fast. He is very professional and nice to chat with. I had called earlier in the week to get on the list for the day. As a plus, I live around the corner and can walk home while they work on my car. “Excellent gas station if you're a member you get 15 cents off a gallon so I always gas up with a full tank excellent place to shop similar to Costco but better no lines where Costco has lines all the way down the aisles there's only a few things that BJ's doesn't carry the Costco house and vice versa I highly recommend going to BJ's especially get a membership with a credit card Capital One and you get 15 cents a gallon off your gas when you're in the gas lines sometimes there's a line they go pretty quickly the best part is that they have extra long hoses so that no matter what side of your gas outlet is on on your car the hose will reach either side of the car which makes it very convenient to get online on either side because the hose can reach both sides”

When he deemed it wasn't worth fixing, he was extremely friendly, honest, and wouldn't take my money after he spent time and labor on the car. He told me to save the money and spend it on a new car. I called LITERALLY 10 Auto Repair Shops for the same job. I had already purchased the parts myself, and as a sidenote, some shops won’t do the work if you’re bringing your own parts. So out of the 10 shops, a couple wouldn’t do it for that reason, several didn’t have availability for anywhere from one to three weeks, and the others ranged in price from $500-$800..
(Replace Radiator + 2 hoses and Thermostat).
Jay hooked it up for $375, and he did it the next day, I didn’t have to wait a week.
I’ve been here several times and the word around town is nothing but GOOD, as far as reputation goes.
So for the 1 or 2 bad reviews here, I promise you they DO NOT reflect the character of this establishment. The 2 bad reviews, I spoke with Jay about both of them in detail, they reflect only the poor character of the reviewers themselves.
Some people want everything for literally nothing, and will try Complaining as a tactic to get what they want. And as a general rule in business and in life, you can’t please everyone.
Pay no mind to those people, this place should have a 5.0 I’m just being honest. Thanks for your help Jay!! I’ll definitely be back and keep referring more business to you, even though you have plenty! ✊?”

Fred's Service Center is THE place to go for all of your auto repair needs. It is local to Deer Park, all of the Babylons, West Islip, Baywood, Brightwaters, West/North Bay Shore and Dix Hills.

Only issue is the location is on a VERY 4 way intersection so you have pretty limited options in terms of which direction you can go when you're trying to leave.”

“The stack of reviews about them are not wrong. They are honest and very fairly priced. I find they spend at least 30% less than I would at a dealership and the quality of work is better. On top of that they do not go upselling you on stuff you dont need. My father had been using them since before I was born (35 yrs ago).
I have tried other mechanics but I must say these guys provide better service than the others at a great price.”
