“A Mechanic Helped a Visiting Brother Out
I had great experience with this mechanic that was able to help me on very short notice. I’m a former Long Islander visiting for 2 days to attend a funeral.
On my 7 hour drive here late Thursday night my temperature gauge started going up which it never did before. Friday morning I checked Google maps for local mechanics that were open early.
I took a shot and drove over to Ronk Service Center in Ronkonkoma, and explained my problem. They told me they were down one person and already had a busy morning but they would try to help me out, hoping it was something simple. I believed them and chose to leave my car with them. He called me at 8:30 and said I needed a new radiator which would take about 4-5 hours.
The mechanic and I touched base a few times between my family obligations and ultimately they were able to replace the radiator and I was able to pick up my car before they closed at 4:00.

“Needed tires for my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe; front tires were bald, and had a slow leak in one rear tire. I honestly didn't feel like buying brand new tires due to the price, so I went the used route.
Learned about J & B from a neighbor. Went there and they were great. 4 tires, $50/tire, as advertised in the window. Received 2 All Terrain Tires (Falken) on the back, and 2 regular SUV tires(Nexen) on the front. I inspected them myself, treads were good. They also patched up a tire that had a plug in it.
Job was completed in 1 hour for all 4 tires. Very quick. Had the chance to talk to Bobby, very polite.
Will return again.”
“Wow! Probably the fastest service I’ve ever received! I left work to find my car with a flat tire, had the donut put on, drove to Pep Boys but they had no availability at 5pm, only next day. Called these guys, came to the shop, was literally done in maybe 5-7 min, unreal. Charged $16 to plug a tire. It was such a relief to have my car back in driving condition. Awesome job! Highly recommend!”

They told me I didn’t need brakes and added something to make them stop squealing. They could have easily just done a brake job and charged me for it.
