I dropped in at 914 CrossFit while in Westchester for a few days, and I couldn’t have had a better experience. The coaches were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. What really stood out was their attention to detail — every part of the workout, from warm-up to cool down, was guided with an emphasis on moving your body well and safely.

“I’ve been a member of Orange Theory Mamaroneck for almost a year now, and it’s been such a rewarding experience! A big thanks to Julissa, who encouraged me to join—I've seen significant improvements in my endurance since starting.
The coaches are incredibly helpful and motivating, the classes are always varied and never repetitive, and the front desk staff is so welcoming. Julissa, in particular, goes above and beyond with her creativity, constantly finding exciting ways to make events more engaging and fun.
The energy from the members is also inspiring—it’s so motivating to work out alongside such dedicated individuals. My personal favorite is the 90-minute classes; they’re always fun, challenging, and keep me coming back for more!

I’ve had recurring issues with Retro Fitness corporate regarding how they process members with an Ultimate Membership. Maddie (spelling?) has been absolutely wonderful — not only in diffusing my frustration but also in creating a workaround to ensure I’m not humiliated each time I’m wrongfully flagged for using the privileges my membership includes. If it weren’t for the positive customer experience Maddie and her staff provide, I’d probably be a Planet Fitness member by now.”
“Mostly good overall. Main complaint is that the club is consistently packed. There are maybe two (non consecutive) hours out of the whole day where I can get access to all the equipment that I intend to use.Otherwise, it's improvising a 'Plan B' workout. Or doing a lot of waiting for the equipment I actually want.”

“Love this place. My membership is strictly for access to the gym not for the classes. The space itself is well kept and very open. It is perfect for a workout. I enjoy the easy access into the gym, simply open the door with my cellphone and get to work. I go in the early mornings and usually have the space all to myself and my tunes.Also Eoghan is awesome, he designed specific strength programs to improve my strength for my jujitsu training. I have nothing but positive things to say about Uptown Movement it is a really great place with wonderful people.”

I recently joined the gym ~2 or 3 months ago and I’ve really enjoyed my time there so far! Nice staff, good machines, and good classes. The amenities seem cool (facials, saunas, nail salon, etc..) but I haven’t had the chance to look into them yet. Knocking it down to 4/5 stairs for lack of a water fountain (bring your own water or buy a water bottle there) — which I feel should be standard for a gym to provide.”

Even when your body is shaking, keep GOING. My latest class REALLY opened up my hip flexors-and it was great! (From the kicking)From 11 months ago:I had gone to my first class yesterday, and it was so exciting! The fact that this place exists in the Bronx is such a blessing. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Ms. Debbie. she was super kind and friendly! My instructor yesterday was Marcy. With her class for today, we HIIT the bag. I've never had the opportunity to consistently hit a punching bag several times in a row!! And, wow, yesterday's workout made me sweat like I've never done before! Hitting the bag consistently really has to do with endurance. The whole experience was super exiliarating and I already want to go back! We did a few ab exercises also, and a light stretch at the end.There are SO many punching bags! I like that there is also other workout equipment in the rear of the gym. Perfect for the variety of different classes they offer. A great asset to this community.”
“Great place to get fit. Instructors are friendly, informative and stern. If you want to get fit this is the place to be. I loved the music, the environment and the place. Equipment is up to date and the faculty is clean. The bathroom could use a little refresher every hour or so but, all in all I would def come back. They always have sales on their website so buy your sessions and get there ASAP. I am long overdue for another class. They have sessions that fit all levels of endurance and schedules. They've been around for a while but again this is a great addition to the Bronx”
