“I ordered several base cabinets from Stock Cabinet Express to make an island in my kitchen. The quality of the cabinets exceeded my expectations. They are beautiful, high quality cabinets. Far better than the stock cabinets offered at the local big box stores. The drawers are made very well and the door and drawer hardware is also great quality comparable to what is find on high end cabinets. Communication with the company was great. I had a damaged piece and they replaced promptly. In would not hesitate to order from this company again.”

“This is a review of one specific location (White Plains at the Westchester Mall), on one specific day (a wintry afternoon in February 2022), and one specific person (Sonia), but it also happens to be a review of my entire journey with Crate for 15+ years.
When I had my first job in NYC, I used to frequent Crate and its funky cousin, CB2, down in Soho.
Recently, I needed some new furnishings and had the great fortune to stumble into the store and speak with Sonia. She was not only design savvy (as in, I trusted her design judgment and aesthetic recommendations), but she was also engaging, dynamic, and fun. Elevated customer service. She's the type of person I would like to work with (or for) if I ever left the comfort of my home office.
She made the furniture-purchasing experience stress-free and enjoyable. If I could give her a raise myself, I would.
Also, I had only a brief exchange, but the manager of the store (Allisa) gave off really good vibes--and let's face it, retail is all about vibes.
The White Plains store is beautiful, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out. I find myself visiting a few times a year--even when I don't need anything, just for inspiration.
This time I needed a ton of furniture, and I'm glad I chose this place over the competition.
Plus, Crate does a lot of business with Europe (including my motherland, Poland), and they seem to be making a bigger push toward the sustainability / fair trade / support-local-artisans movement. I hope they continue moving in that direction.”

“I purchased nearly all of my supplies for a bathroom renovation from this store. They had an amazing selection and I kept finding items to fall in love with. Most of all, Anne Marie was so helpful, professional, and engaging that it was a pleasure to work with her. Unfortunately, 3 of the items that I purchased arrived with problems: a cracked sink, a missing escutcheon, and dysfunctional hinges -- all from different suppliers. Further, their delivery person refused to bring any of the items inside my building and was going to leave them outside in the parking lot (I was not informed of this policy prior to delivery). Thank goodness for Anne Marie, because she stepped in and came to my rescue each and every time I had a problem and always treated me with respect. If I were rating FW Webb solely on customer service, I would give them 5+ stars. Otherwise I would only give them 3 for the stress that resulted from all those issues. Splitting the difference = 4 stars. Even though it was an imperfect experience, I would still return to FW Webb ONLY because of Anne Marie. She is a rock star.”
