I’m writing this review because of the abuse I saw your employee Jeremy, endure while I was there. Jeremy was incredibly patient and empathetic to an ornery female customer who was clearly confused by the sale tags. Further , she was not open to being educated about the mistake SHE was making. When she realized her error she grabbed a sale tag from a different area of the store and continued to belittle and bombard Jeremy claiming the law was on her side and what he was doing was illegal. She was making a show to save a buck.
When I attempted to explain she condescendingly mocked me and soon after boiled over shoving and throwing her desired purchases at Jeremy who AMAZINGLY continued to keep his cool while simultaneously being openly apologetic to other customers waiting in line.
The irate customer also mocked him when he multitask By welcoming people who were coming in the door by saying “HEY there! welcome to DG.” She asked him if he was on drugs and he clearly was just being kind.
I’m writing because as a customer this experience was horrific to watch. I’m sure It was embarrassing for Jeremy who did everything right! Im sure this woman will call and complain or post a scathing review or attempt to get something free out of this. DON’T LET IT HAPPEN! Set a higher standard; one that doesn’t reward bad behavior.
Instead, maybe thank your staff for always being amazing and helpful! Please let them all know to keep up the good work!”
“Since the Upgrade and Remodel the store is more open. Clean, and has many many more products. They added a self checkout for Credit and debit card transactions, it may be upgraded to accept cash transactions eventually. The staff is helpful. My only complaint and hope for next winter, is that they start to shovel and clear their sidewalks. This past winter they didn't even attempt to shovel their sidewalks once, no salt, or even saw dust. It made for a horrible walk to and even past the store to other places. I really hope they will at least hire someone this coming winter to shovel these highly traveled sidewalks.”
“3 Dollar Generals and a Big Lots. Each store clean, stocked, masks a must, cheerful employees! 3rd time was a charm. I think I got the last 3 bags of potting soil in Elmira???????”
“Great store to just let your kids look and choose what ever they want and it only a dollar and a quarter , two toys or what ever and a bag of snacks for less than 5 bucks , you can't beat it , the stuff may be cheap the kids love it.”

“Sweet sales! I was able to find some clearance priced gifts at a fraction of thier original cost. Plus stock up on everyday items very reasonably priced. Cashier was very nice and wrapped my breakable as I had asked and packed them very strategically in my bag which I provided”

“I love the Dollar tree in Big flats! The manager Jen is amazing she really goes out of her way to make you feel appreciated.The store is clean and well stocked. In fact all the employees are amazing there! They're kind as well as considerate. I also like that they hire people with disabilities at this store they have some workers with hearing impairments however they do their job impeccablely I might add . It shows a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as to the community . People are complaining about the price increase at Dollar trees but let me tell you something... products are better than ever and there are more choices . It's a win-win. Thank you Dollar tree in Big flats for being awesome!”
