I have frequented the groomers at Petco over the even thou I’m an hour away. Yesterday I was at Sayre hospital as thought I’d swing by Petco to get Buddies nails clipped. I know the groomers close early so I hurried up the road and I arrived at 5:25. The girl in the grooming area was finishing up a dog. She asked me “how May I help you? “. I’d like my dogs nail trimmed. She informs me that she is closing soon and was unable to help me. My reply. “Seriously”. She told me to come back tomorrow. Closing time for the groomers is 6pm. Taylor just didn’t want to stop what she was doing and wait on me. I would have gladly waited till she was done with the dog she was working on. If it had been 5:55. Sure, I would understand but not 5:25. You are open till 6. Do your job Taylor and wait on customers. Spoke to manager with my complaint but I was unwilling to allow a reprimanded Taylor trim Buddies nails in a pissed off mood. I will not be going out of my way to use Pecto groomers anymore.

I got a ferret from there over a year ago, and it was scrawny. Not knowing any better, I had hoped I could give him a good life. He was malnourished, gets sick a lot, can't gain weight, and wasn't very adaptable. I tried everything. I decided to get another ferret a few months later from another store, and she was perfect. She's very playful and healthy and has a vibrant personality. She was helping my poor, broken ferret from this store. I went to this store a few weeks ago and saw a few baby ferrets and held them. I had scratches and blood all over my hands and arm. I took one home, and it didn't work (I should have known better), so I brought it back the next day. The lady was questioning me like I didn't bring the same ferret back. It blew my mind! The place was filthy. It's just an uncomfortable experience every time I go there because they are the only local place to get ferret supplies. I got to PetSmart now for their food. I actually went back to this store the next day just to apologize to the lady because I felt bad. She wasn't there, but the employees said that I had nothing to apologize for. I knew inside that she was just being powerfully mean. But I was trying to have respect for the business. Who let's someone with a personality like that run a store?! The gentleman that knows the fish and lizards, he is nice. And there is a younger person in there now who seems to be trying hard and is also helpful. I honestly don't know how this place hasn't been shut down.

They do a great job on cutting both of my dogs' hair! One is a havanese and the other is a poodle! The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because every time I call to schedule an appointment, I have to leave a voicemail, and then they never call me back. I always have to call them and I don't think that's right!

This location is a pretty basic pet store supply center. Has a few smaller animals to look at, but not much. Great variety of pet supplies and food. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Elmira NY store is the worst store EVER! They make up their own policies and don't follow store policies or protocols. Management their is beyond unprofessional. I don't recommend anyone going there. GO TO PETSMART! The poor cashier works with no help. Had an issue that needed resolved and they basically told her to figure it out. What a JOKE! Such poor customer service skills! I want a regional director to contact me!

We get our move from here to feed our live fed snakes which that service is fine. I called today to ask to see if they had a certain pleco I wanted in stock. I was asked to hold for a moment which was fine but after someone came back on the line all I heard was someone saying something incoherent and laughing then hanging up on me. Very rude don't bother calling for answers they might hang up on you too.
