“We took one of our cats to see Dr. Halpern after AMC Hospital in the city diagnosed her with cancer. Our cat Annie has lymphoma cancer and we wanted a second opinion on how to deal with the situation. After receiving the bad news, it's beyond sadness, but we want to provide as much care and love as possible for the sick cat. Dr. Halpern is a gentle professional animal doctor who understands my feelings and how sad I am now. Annie's and my quality of life also count in this. He wanted to know how much we would invest to keep Annie alive. On my first visit, I focused on Annie and paid little attention to the conversation. Hubby did most of the talking with the doctor. Tyler, Dr. Halper's assistant at the time, was a big help. He took care of Annie from the moment he took her into the room, removed her from the carrier, held her for Dr. Halper to examine, and then put her back safely into her carrier. Both Doctor and assistant gave Annie a nice pet. We had another assistant, Kiara(?) the second time we brought Annie here, and she, too, handled Annie with so much compassion. This place offers a lot of love and affordable bills. The big hospital, AMC in the city offers a lot of fees with less compassion. It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Halpern, his assistant, and the entire staff at Quality Veterinary. My life was turned upside down when I heard the bad news about Annie, but I have slowly recovered since then. His suggestion to give Annie daily IV fluid on top of daily medication is one of the best ideas! AMC only offers the med. Although Annie doesn't have much time left, she is now back doing her routine as she was living before the hospital visit. We're providing her with so much love and joy and we can't thank Dr. Halpern and this place enough. I highly recommend Dr. Halpern and the place to examine your furry babies! Thank you!”

“It’s not easy finding a local animal hospital providing a very cozy intimate environment and a wealth of experience. Oh how we love our animals. I had to leave her and let God. THANK YOU to her experienced doctor and the wonderful team who took the time to answer my questions honestly and provided the best care for her. They know she always makes a grand entrance and can be a handful but not once do they make me feel she doesn’t belong there. Just don’t be too late. We followed his suggestions closely, and one month later at our follow-up, Gizmo was all in the green thriving, full of life, and surrounded by positivity.

This place is the opposite of a factory. It’s heart, soul, and real connection. My mom brings her cat here, my nephew brings his pets here, and now Dr. Saslou and the team are officially our family’s doctor. Gizmo will never forget them and neither will we. We will see you for the next check up!

“I miss Dr.B we use to go here but unfortunately i had stopped due to him only being there 3 days a week and not every month it was hard I need a vet who is more available for my baby. But he was a great Docor I do call time to time with concerns and questions because i do still only trust him compared to these other vets I will be going back just he’s so busy he has the longest wait times and my boy can’t wait with other dogs unfortunately. But i will be seeing him soon and he is amazing with understanding the animals and the owners.”

She recently saw us through a tough time when we had to make the terrible decision to put our dogs down due to old age and illness. “These are truly some of the kindest and most caring people you’ll ever meet! Dr. Sandra Popa came highly recommended by a friend, and I now understand why. Despite being fully booked for the day, they managed to squeeze us in the same day (at 5pm!) when my grandma’s senior cat started straining in the litter box and peeing a little blood. The front desk here was so compassionate and accommodating - they understood it was urgent, while all other vets told us the earliest they could get us in was the next morning.

Dr. Popa was beyond amazing and patient. She took her time to ask questions, go over the medical history, and explain everything clearly without ever rushing. You can just tell she loves animals and puts her heart into her work. Her compassion and calm demeanor instantly put me at ease.

Their prices are also very fair, which says a lot about their values. All other places I called wanted to charge an astronomical amount. You can tell they really care about helping pets more than anything else. I’m so grateful we found Dr. Popa and her wonderful team. They truly go above and beyond, and we’ll be clients for life!!”

“I never write reviews but this one is necessary! Dr. Pozo is truly a gem, she’s so warm and gracious and puts you right at ease! She squeezed me in to see my two newly adopted cats when I found out one of them was given to me sick. She examined them both and prescribed medicine, taking the time to teach me how to administer and tips on how to keep the cats calm and how to prevent myself from getting scratched! She has since been very kind to answer all my follow up worry some questions and has also taken care of my dog. If you’ve been searching for a vet, I highly recommend you put your trust in Dr. Pozo!”

“Honestly, this place is lovely. I have been to many vets over the years and I have never felt as safe as I do here. They do not shame- my cat is overweight and they remained focused on a plan, not on making me feel like a bad pet parent. Whats even crazier is that my cats do not fear the carrier. While they will cry in the car once they are in the vet office they are calm. They come home relaxed. I think about all the trauma my other cats had at previous vets and it honestly breaks my heart knowing this was an option the whole time. VCG are profoundly lovely and caring people.”

“My cat, Zephyr, and I are grateful beyond words!!!!! I recently moved back to NY and didn't have a regular vet setup yet when my cat required emergency dental extractions. Every other vet I called (I called many!) required multiple, costly pre-procedure visits before they would do any dental procedures. My cat was in pain with an active infection in his mouth and this was unacceptable!! Not only was Crawford Animal Hospital the most affordable, but I was able to walk in without an appointment and have his procedure done on the same day!! Dr. Josh was incredibly compassionate towards my cat's needs and my financial situation, and the staff were all so professional, friendly, and clearly love animals. The procedure itself went well and I was able to take my cat home on the same day. He recovered quickly that evening and was 100% by the following morning. I waited a couple of days to post this review in case of any adverse reactions, but I'm happy to report that were none!! Thank you so much Dr. Josh and team for your excellent veterinary care!!!”
