These vets are not thorough and they do not listen to you. After several visits, they diagnosed my dog with pancreatitis. A few days later after a trip to the buffalo emergency vet, turns out he had a piece of turkey stuck in his esophagus. I don’t think I have to say anything else…. Besides pick a different vet.

**These people are owned by Thrive!** These are the same late stage capitalist that shut down rochesters only vet emergency hospital because the staff had the nerve to ask for better working conditions! The staff here is great and greatly over worked. I would not be surprised if they meet the same fate as VSES. Screw thrive!

Just tried to make an appointment at this vet for my cat who is exhibiting an ear infection. The person in the phone with me was very rude. She said only if you were new to the area they’d take your pet. I’m new to the area (perinton) but my cat has been seen at a different hospital (Henrietta). I don’t understand the policies or procedures, like I’m sorry, I just moved here and you can’t take my pet because..I’m from Rochester and just moved here? Thankfully got in with another hospital with a secretary who could help. It’s too bad, I first called Their sister hospital and they were very kind to me in the phone. Did not get the same experience here.

Fairview brought in my girlfriend's cat for emergency surgery 3 weeks ago and have treated her and the cat like family ever since! They are wonderful, the employees truly care about the animals!

I've never used their services before, but I delivered a catering order to that place last summer from Panera, which was just 0.2 miles away from them. They tipped me slightly over $100.I'm not gonna lie, I had to take a break to cry. They really made my week that day. That showed the staff's true character - loving and caring! I knew right there then and now that all the animals that are under their care are in excellent hands!

Too busy and over booked. Too many inexperienced veterinarians and staff. Gave wrong evaluations for my older cat and couldn't pin down what was causing his issues. I brought him to an all cat practice and problem was recognized right away and administered the correct medication. Recently, lost my dog because of incomplete and bad advise. They didn't know how to calm my dog down to get a proper check of his heart so they said it didn't sound like he had a heart murmur and just sent us home with pain meds. Two weeks after my dogs visit, we had to bring him to the emergency veterinary hospital in Henrietta where they found a pronounced heart murmur and congestive heart failure and he was too far gone to save our boy. They keep sending reminders that my dog is due for an appointment even after I told them he passed.

Fairview has always been great with our cats. Great care. Prices are fair too. They don't rob you like other vets. The front desk people are very nice and considerate of emergency situations.

Lovely, considerate staff. They addressed Mr. Peanut’s issue immediately and he was quickly on the mend.

Overall, I am not bringing my cats back again. Service for dogs are okay. The vet was flustered with two cats and one dog. And claimed our cats were so stressed she suggested giving both cats gabapentin before vet visits, all while one of my cats was sitting in her carrier with the front open on the exam table and purring and relaxed. The way the vet tech (and vet) treated my kitty purring makes me angry, even now. Because instead of drawing blood from the leg or neck, blood was drawn from under the tail, which is typically never done and I know for a fact this is done in “aggressive” animals, which my cat is not. And the tail is more sensitive than the neck or arm so my cat was induced to unnecessary additional pain. The vet was flustered and even almost forgot to give our dog a wellness exam but came back to do so. Our deposit was also not included in the bill at check out and I had to call later to get money we overpaid back. And beware because medical waste disposal fees are not charged per family, but rather per pet. Fairview charges all the additional possible charges compared to any other veterinary clinic I have gone to. Very disappointed.

I have always taken my pets here. I recently got a beautiful puppy. I took her there to get all shots. When it came time to spay. I was recommended a test that would tell me that she was healthy for the surgery. She was. The morning of the surgery we did our morning routine poop and pee with no food or water. 24 hours later she died on my lap. No emergency contacts. 2 weeks later I have no answers. I did get her ashes that they paid for but I also got a toy that I have never seen before that they claim was in her intestines. They have taken no responsibility and I am left I'm devastated. Without my healthy happy puppy.

My new patient appointment was great! Everyone was great and the office was clean. My cat was really nervous, but Dr. Castle was patient and also offered a few suggestions on how to help for our next visit. Everyone was knowledgeable and understanding with all my questions; they were quick to compile a quote for upcoming visits and procedures even before I finished check out.

It was a short wait in the lobby and when we were given a room. Dr. Rodriguez is so calm and patient with my hyper pup.
