“Great organization with wonderful people donating their time and efforts to help those in need. Spoke to Wayne, he explained the whole process. Warms my heart knowing there are people who care.”
“Tracey is the go-to person when you want to talk about student loans. She and her team gives you different resources on how to consolidate loans. She would come up with a strategy that will be less of a financial burden especially with the current climate of the world and inflation.”
“Wish we found this place much sooner. We were in process of moving and had a few items we were ready to toss because others wanted new unused items.Helping hands greeted us with open arms and were more than happy to take our donations, including unopened food items, even butter. All items would be going to families in need.We got to help load a truck with other volunteers one day, care packages of baby items, and bags of clothing for children of all ages, clothing for adults of all size. And each bag was labeled to help make distribution easier.Thank-you Helping Hands”
“Theodor Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center onCove road in Oysterbay NY is a wonderful place to explore. The grounds the treesBird feeding sections and the water area are full of life, trees, flowers and Birds. Bring something to see them and catch photos. Check on line for schedule season and s hiked events. Be aware it is not the easiest place for people handicapped though there are some actions of availability. A nice place to take the family.”
“great place to hold a party/event. You do have to be a member or I guess know someone who is but it's still very nice and big. The people are also very nice.”
“Book giving service with tons of help and super friendly people. They offer free books to nfp and schools. We were able to get books for an upcoming Juneteenth event. So grateful for their offering.”
“My whole family including myself love this place! It was our first time and we are so amazed at all the details! There are also some interactive ones where you can move objects with a press of a button! And not to mention the folks who are there - they are all so kind, sweet and wonderful! We got there right when they opened and it was pretty crowded already but you are allowed to stay as long as you want. Once we left, there was a line formed outside. So it can get busy! And just FYI, there is a restroom/bathroom there.”
“I had a great experience with these folks here. I was looking to neuter my cat Nacho at a reasonable price. Someone suggested that I call them. I was able to get an appointment right away the next day. They are fast and efficient and so reasonably priced compared to others I called. Neutering is $150, and I also microchiped, which was $35. When I got back Nacho, he was awake but drowsy, and by the time I got home, he was playful again.
They also dp nail cutting and vaccines, etc.
I highly recommend them to anyone who does not have extra money to throw for those high-priced clinics who want first blood work and then a physical and then a month later neutering. Nope. I will save my money.
So, i really appreciate the "All about Cats" clinic here.”
“We donated clothes and household items to the Trading Post and the staff is WONDERFUL. They take the donated goods ,sell them and use the funds to help those in need. It's a great place. Help them to help others.”
“Long ago, I volunteered at the Long Island Alzheimer’s and Dementia Center in Port Washington, where I played the piano for the elderly. The center was dedicated to enriching their lives through various programs, and the staff there treated everyone with genuine care and warmth. My time volunteering was always uplifting, thanks to the positive environment created by both the staff and the residents.”
“This place is run by angles on earth, they take care of as many people as humanly possible they clothes and feed anyone in need and this world is a better place for having the Long Island trading post friends and family is spreading the world with take care of your neibor s and anyone that is in need attitude. God bless us all xoxo”
“My favorite community center. This Y is a place for every at any stathe in thier life. There are many services available. All you need to do is to show up and be ready to participate.”
“This place is wonderful. Joseph, our kitty has been a joy and everyone the staff is protective of the animals they care for. Rightfully so. I love that. They truly care about the fluffy friends they find homes for. As you can see, Joseph is LOVED. He rescued us. <3. The staff at this place is wonderful. . That kind of commitment in a day and age where so many pets are disposed of and euthanized is precious and necessary. Good Job Little Shelter. xx”

“I rarely give anyone 5 stars. The staff was really cool, patient, and more importantly informative. I always hated giving blood but have to regularly now due to high RBC count. It was not busy when I came. They gave me an ice pack, and snacks afterwards. Overall a good experience.”
“I joined a year ago for the pool and I thoroughly enjoy the warm water (which makes it easier to get motivated to swim during the winter months), as well as the super clean locker rooms and showers. But what I love best is how warm and welcoming the staff is -- when I pop in, they know me by name and always take the time to say hello and ask how I'm doing. When I call, they are super helpful. They just seem very attuned to their clients, which has not been my experience at other fitness centers. I don't take advantage of many of their programs, but am impressed by how much they offer, and I also love that they give back to the community through their food pantry, coat drive and other initiatives. Highly recommend!”
“I started interning at Hope for Youth over a year ago. I was amazed at how caring all the employees were and management. They were so supportive of the children and do their best to guide them in the right direction and make good choices. After my internship I got hired and the staff is one big family. I would recommend this agency to anyone who needs support.”
“I won a lotto drawing a few years ago. My number will be coming up soon. I call periodically to find out what number they are up to and everyone I have had the pleasure to speak with has been nothing but kind, loving and considerate. I am so thankful for this opportunity, this is the life changer my family needs. Thank you so much for giving my family the chance to make it in this world.***UPDATE****I finally got into my house last year. I am so pleased with all the help I have received and will continue to receive from the LICDC. Thank you all and God bless”
“We made a great sofa purchase, along with home accessories, recently at Society of St. Vincent de Paul Long Island's thrift store in Huntington. We fell in love with the sofa's look and comfort -- and the great price. We were so pleased that we've returned again today for an additional sofa purchase. Our sales rep, Michelle, was fantastic.”
“There are not enough stars to give this group of amazing humans doing such important work. Once I submitted the form online, it was less than 24 hours before I received a call to review my needs and their services. They were so helpful, kind and compassionate. They walked me through the entire process. Everything was exactly like they explained. No surprises, no issues with travel from start to finish. I can't thank those who helped me with this journey enough. I will be forever grateful to have found them. Thank you PALS team. The work you do is extremely important to people when everything else in their life couid be falling apart around them. Thank y'all for being a beacon of light”
