“I only have positive things to say as well. My family used to visit the shop in Ridgewood and we finally made it to the Huntington Location. Our favorite as the krainerwurst, cervelat, chicken rolls, pretzel rolls (ask for the salt, they will give you a container). There is also a bunch of German / European items throughout the store, such as mustards, sauces, and candies. They have adorable Christmas shaped fondant candies that would be too cute for me to even want to eat - they were a little expensive or I would have bought them all. Oh and they have other candies shaped like a pig which I wanted as well. Customer service is top notch. Needless to say, I will be back.”
“Awesome food precooked from Kosher Meats yesterday. My daughter and I stumbled in while shopping in the center by accident. It was fate. There were meal deals in the window. 2 BBQ chickens, sides, soup pudding at a reasonable price and so delicious! Even my Jewish Mother-in-law loved it! Rugelach is my favorite!”

“Been living in the neighborhood for many years, and passed this meat market countless times. WHAT AN AWESOME STORE!!! I've gone 3 weeks in a row and have tried something different each time, and I have to say WOW from kielbasa, to there smoked bacons, fresh deli meats. On top of that the staff which appears to be all family are friendly, personable, knowledgeable. I will never go any place else for fresh made kielbasa, hotdogs, and there cured meats. You gotta try there different bacon. I felt the prices were so reasonable... what a find, so glad I found this place.”

“We were pleasantly surprised to hear the Kababjees ownership acquired Aladin, the local confusing combination of a butcher and restaurant. With the introduction of a new menu came Shanghai Express, a Hakka-style basket of offerings within the menu selection. We ordered the classics that would take us across sweet, salty and both. The General Tso had the sweetness one would come to expect from the typically sweet & spicy dish, both chillies and sweet sauce served us well over the steamed rice. Despite being our favorite dish, the General Tso left a lot to be desired on the spicy side of the equation; the larger Desi community that frequents Hicksville eateries would agree. Going to the Sesame Chicken took us down candy lane, offering an overwhelmingly sweet dish many of us only picked up once. The old-as-time Chicken Manchurian visually presented itself as the most balanced and classical dish, yet suffered from the classic Desi-chinese issue of being oversalted. We looked for the best in the categories we were craving and we got what we wanted, but there's room for improvement. Considering the Shanghai Express menu is cooked fresh to order and is in it's infancy, there's already too much to like as-is to not be tempted for a revisit. Once the Aladin team hones in on it's flavor profiles, this will be the best Chinese spot east of Queens by miles.”
“I have never been to a butcher shop and this is the first time I have ever been to one. I met Joe the owner and he was fantastic. He explained exactly what meats I should get and how I should cook them and at what temperature. He explained everything in a manner that I could understand. Not only that he gave me a few stuffed mushrooms for my first time purchase. The customer service is absolutely amazing here. Every time that I need to purchase meat I will not go anywhere but here. “Wound up finding this business on Google because they carry A5 waygu cuts. I wound up calling in and speaking to a nice gentleman who answered my questions. Wound up driving 30 miles the next day to pickup a waygu strip and prime aged and the owner and his son were super friendly. They thanked me for my business and taking the drive out to them as well. They understand how to treat people and offer great steaks!!!”

“I have been going to Mathews Meats for probably 20 years. Moved from the neighborhood 3.5 years ago to Nassau and still go back. A family run business. The nicest people to deal with. If you don't see it ask! If you have a question....Ask! They will go out of their way to help you. Best Greek foods without having to go to Astoria! And the souvlaki's are to die for. Highly recommend.”

“I'm not a fan of white meat turkey or chicken, but we tried the roasted whole turkey breast and I was pleasantly surprised. It was juicy with just the right amount of sweetness, and it went very quickly at our family dinner. It's a bit pricey so not a weekly meal choice, but would definitely buy it again for holidays or special occasions.”
