The Flushing YMCA is a community-focused facility featuring state-of-the-art exercise equipment, two indoor pools, sports teams, immigrant services, and comprehensive childcare. The gym is a decent size, described as clean, quiet, and friendly, with a working sauna and steam room, more than enough lockers, and a small cafe. Staff members, including those at the front desk, are noted as being very nice, friendly, and kind, especially in assisting seniors. However, some aspects require improvement. Several reviews mention aging equipment, with three or four broken cardio machines and flickering light bulbs in the early morning that make working out difficult. The women's locker room could use some improvement. While pool cleaning services are reliable, the overall cleanliness of equipment is sometimes questioned. Changes since COVID include the closure of a small store for water and snacks and the end of towel distribution. Membership prices are consistently rising, making the service feel quite expensive. Some members note the neighborhood and the diversement of people do not seem as lively as before. Parking is also limited, often requiring a walk of a block or two. Despite these issues, the overall quality of work and maintenance is considered acceptable by many.
I wish I didn't join this place. The parking is really hard to find on the street. And YMCA has a parking lot but they charge for 6 months at a time. What's up with that. Why can't I pay monthly or as I go. Also I expected the pool to be better and the locker rooms to be cleaner.

Although their pool cleaning services are reliable, the aging and cleanliness of their equipment leave something to be desired. Moreover, the consistently rising prices year after year make their service feel quite expensive. However, the overall quality of their work remains acceptable.
