Great gym to get a solid workout in. Heavy equipment that many other facilities do not have. Tommy, the owner, is very welcoming and has created a family like feeling throughout the gym. If you are looking to get a great lift in, this is the place for you.

I have been a member here since 2017. Gym is absolutely fantastic. Very great employees behind the counter, amazing pre-workout/protein/hydration options, their merchandise is very appealing & comfortable, spacious, many different machines/free weight/barbells & has dumbbells which go to 200lbs for the big boys. The owner Tommy is very kind as well & maintains this gym very effectively. Will forever train at PHG BAYSIDE!

I've been a "gym rat" since my days at the Naval Academy, 41 years ago. I really like this gym. Almost every possible piece of equipment you could ever want. Gym personnel are friendly and courteous. If I could make one suggestion it would be to give the aerobic floor a good 'deep cleaning'. The gym has a beautiful wooden floor but it needs a little TLC to be more inviting.

A dam good place to work out and bulk up. Not like others. Here, you sweat, you grunt, you get bigger. No pain, no gain. Let others watch you, that's because they use that energy you exude to help them build their body.

Not the fanciest gym in the world, but it has a vibe to it and it's the only place I feel like working out in.

$60/month and they can’t hire a cleaning crew? The women’s bathroom is absolutely filthy and I feel uncomfortable even having to use it. Rather go to the cafe next door and come back.$60/month with missing toilet tank covers and mold everywhere, sink is so dirty and barely operational.Gyms in queens are a joke.

Went here some days by myself and even with some friends. The day pass is $15. There is a lot to unfold about this gym. I've been trying to find some new gyms and came across this one.All the pros: The staff seemed to be chill. There are some machines at this gym that most gyms don't have (Hack squat, Chest supported T bar row, etc). There were a lot of cables and machines and even free weights. There are two floors (the first floor has a lot more cables and machines and a couple of benches for free weights. The basement had some machines but more of a squat, deadlift, and bench area with a lot more free weight area than above.) It was also organized in a way. Unlike LA and some other gyms, the plates and equipment were at their own machines. They also had their own yoga or some kind of empty room which I suppose is for yoga or stretching. They also had their own cardio section and weren't exploded with cardio machines like Planet Fitness. One thing though that I love personally is how it wasn't too packed. It wasn't empty but it definitely didn't have people stacking onto each other till maybe rush hour. You didn't have to wait for others to be done with a machine. (this is just something me PERSONALLY I really liked). In general, this is all the things I liked about the gym and just positive things I can say about it.Now for the cons: Like other reviews have stated, the equipment is very rusty and some of the paddings on the machines like preacher curls and dip machines have tears on them, even some of the benches. It was kinda dirty and didn't feel good to put your hands on them, especially the plates. The locker room was also pretty tiny and felt cramped. Also, not sure if this is every day at this gym but I stayed till rush hour and like I said before, it doesn't get packed but the machines are a little too close to each other so it can be a challenge for some people trying to lift and not disrupt one's session. Don't think it was the people since it wasn't crowded but I think it is the placement of the machines and benches. The biggest letdown for me was the price. The price is $60 a month. This could just be me, but from other reviews, the price was an issue for people. Don't get me wrong, the gym is really good. Me and my friends talked about how good the gym was and the equipment was solid. Sure, it was rusty and dirty but we had a good time. I think it's just a bit pricey for how it is you know, the old benches and bars and how it feels dirty. $30-$40 seems like a reasonable price for this gym. Even $45 is an okay price. $60 is an overkill but again, that could just be me.Overall, from the days I have gone, I liked it and really did enjoy my time there. I would've taken photos but I forgot. I hope this review helps anyone else trying out gyms and found this one.

The gym is pretty decent, I do wish they had more garbage cans for people to throw out their trash.

PROS: I live two blocks away, so it's VERY convenient for me to drop in for a workout whenever I want. They have all the machines and equipment you can possibly need for strength training. Downstairs, there is a spacious open room that's great for stretching and privacy for body weight exercises. Despite the "gym bro" culture, everyone is super respectful, minds their own business, and follows all appropriate etiquette/policies. CONS: It's the dirtiest gym I have ever visited, period. The women's' locker room is filthy and always smells. Most of the equipment leaves dark grime on your hands and clothes. There is often a long wait to use one of their two Smith machines. Also, lots of teenagers just hanging out on their phones and taking up space on machines instead of actually working out. TIPS: Try to avoid the busiest hours of Mon-Thu 5pm-7pm and wipe down everything before/after you use it, and you should have a solid experience.

Great atmosphere and great equipment. The owner and staff are great and very helpful and friendly. Plenty of options for whatever your workout routine requires.

Has every equipment that I'm looking for. Only problem is that the equipment is very rusty and dirty. I grabbed onto the handles of the seated calf raise machine and I just have so much dirt on my hands. One of the pipes downstairs is also dripping water. Overall, feel very mixed about this establishment.

Great neighborhood gym. I've been a member for the past 6 months and appreciate the vibe that Tommy (owner) has created. The desk staff, maintenance, and Tommy himself greet you by name every morning, a small detail that embodies the type of business he runs. Has all the basics you'll need, complete with a respectful clientele and positive environment.
