My child went to swimming lesson held at the Jamaica High School location last spring in 2023. There were some problems which I faced. It always started little late, because the instructors came late. I understand that since they rented the pool from Jamaica HS, so instructors and authorities came from different place to start the session. Another thing I realized the pool is not heated. 45mins children will stay in the water, pool should be comfortable enough. I don't want to see my child is shivering/blue lips. I already enrolled my child for second level in winter season, let's see how it goes. Apart from these, everything else was great.

I went there yesterday for my daughter for the first time took a swimming class it’s so complicated to find someone to talk to .. and the front desk know nothing about my questions and the swimming class about 45 minutes but the real time was only 25 minutes because when i got there on time the teacher was teaching 2 kids and i have to wait till they are done that supposed to be like that? We paid for the full price but the lesson was not worth the price!

I purchased the swim level 2 classes for the summer. I had Coach Lexi and I had a class ratio of 6:2 at most. I learned so much in a span of 7 classes! I learned form, different strokes, how to float and very helpful techniques. This was a cheaper and convenient option for swim lessons for my research. Classes were from 7-7:45pm and the coach was in no rush to end classes or rush the lessons. Lockers were busy but plenty of lockers for use. Only 4 showers and 2 bathroom stalls but a dry sauna I got to use that is in good condition! The locker room attendant was always polite. I reached out via phone call and email for classes and questions and got a response in 24hrs or a call back. I would definitely recommend this program!

Update:problem finally fixed after hourss thank you very muchI am not dissatosfied with the service in person but the service online. My friend and I have sent emails regarding how to reset password and log back into the volunteer and community portals on the website. whenever we request a link fhrough email it never gets sent and it was very frustrating for us because all we wante dto do was volunteer, not have all of our information recorded and be able to do nothing after most of it being filled in.

The price of the seim lessons are fair and the instructors are good but sometimes they do chat with other instructors instead of focusing on the lesson. Not to mention the lessons are supposed to be 50mins long but they end it by 10 mins early. Hope you're reading this and make some changes.

As a member for around 6 years, this is a good place for kids to learn many sports! The teachers taught us to persevere and accept our mistakes. The teachers are very nice as well.

The services at this center is so bad ever. The lady I spoke to is such a disgrace. First they don’t respond to calls and emails too. When they respond they kept transferring to another line and nobody responded. This happened several times. I don’t understand why theses peoples are still working at the center when so many willingness peoples are looking for jobs. Disgrace…

Extremely disappointed & disgusted by the hygiene & professionalism of this gym. On two separate occasions I mentioned to the manager that there were dried roach guts in the women's sauna & politely asked her to clean it... after noting the sauna had still not been cleaned for two weeks, I asked for a feedback form & was given an email address to extend my thoughts..,, TWO emails later, the sauna remains the SAME. It's now been a solid three+ weeks with the same accumulating roach guts in a small sauna that we're supposed to feel comfort sitting half naked in... The lack of cleanliness & responsiveness is unacceptable & disrespectful... Not sure what will prompt action & this makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the the pool water & remaining quarters.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is a horrible establishment and they need to seriously re-evaluate the kind of swim instructors they allow to be employed here. Lee Chase is on a serious power trip and has been nothing but rude, horrible, and extremely unprofessional to all of the students she is supposed to TRAIN. DO NOT WORK HERE OR SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! SHE NEEDS TO BE FIRED!

Too much congestion. They put too many kids in one class. 7/8 kids in a class under 2 teacher. When you register it says maximum 5 kids in one class. But reality there are 7/8 kids in a small area. Each student doesn’t get enough attention in 45 minutes class. It takes forever to learn swimming!! They should reduce the class size into 3 kids.

April 11 the building closed at 6:Pm. No noticeable sign posted the week before that it would close early. The website not updated it has it closing at 9:00 pm. No recorded message stating it is close when you call.

Small and overcrowded women locker room. Souna used as laundry room by some members. Very dusty gym area. I was sneezing all the time while on treadmill. Some classes are extremely boring or low quality.Good pool, but poorly managed by staff. It creates discomfort while swimming. When I complained to staff in pool or on front desk, the answer was: no one complained besides you. So, staff does not care.

This place actually have a good potential, because like me finding a place with a pool for swim by far this place have very organized schedule.The thing is when I enroll myself, I’ve been given day pass by the lady name Hellen. She asked me to fill up application form, and turn out she’s part time worker and not have authorization to enroll me.At the day I came back to use my day pass to swim a mean lady at the front desk greeted me with a mean look. It’s seems I’m begged to swim over there.Been asked around there no one know the lady name Hellen who issue a day pass to me on the first day.But a lady by pool side told me to contact Rory, and it’s been more than two weeks almost every day try to call the number, only machine answered “ your business very important to us”??♀️. And direct my call to Voice mail which is full and can’t leave a message at all. I got a voicemail and gave different number to call, a lady picked up the phone and I told her my reason to call , not even be able to finish my sentence she cut me and transferred my call to a different extension with same story with same answered machine and end up to voicemail which full.What a bad management, i’m very upset and didn’t expect this place will give me such a bad intention from the start.Just unhappy customer

If I can give 0 star I would definitely give the front desk lady is very rude and they are very biased towards minorities they don’t provide you the right information .They pretend to be busy and make you wait even though there is no one .The area is very unhygienic .the restroom are very dirty.Common point should train their staff more they are very unwelcoming .
