Visited to get my son's 1st birthday bear and it was such a joyful experience! Based on some past reviews, I went having low expectations but the staff was so wonderful—especially Bee who was the main person who helped us stuff our boy's bear. There was another family who was there for their child's first birthday bear as well and the staff did a little shop announcement for both the kids which was very wholesome and sweet. They were also kind enough to help us take some pictures afterwards as well. We went for the bear, but of course couldn't leave without splurging for extra outfits! This was my first time ever at a BAB so I was pleasantly surprised, funto browse and a great experience.

Horrible experience today at Uniondale location. First a big yeti bottle fell on my son. Secondly if you are going to have workers make sure they know what to scan for the birthday discount bear. I went all the way to my car with two kids and had to trek back into the store for a refund they couldn’t do over the phone. Once I got there only a manager could do it who was on break. UNREAL!!!!!!! Roosevelt Field mall do better you ruined this experience.

Came in for my daughters birthday, picked out the birthday bear, went to the stuffing station where they stuffed in, and the girl said there was something wrong with the thread on the birthday bear so she went and got another one. Whole ordeal took 45 minutes, and then we went to check out, and Andrea told us that this wasn’t the birthday bear and there was absolutely nothing she can do. Toddler is crying and tired, and I’m so confused because I knew I picked out birthday bear. She starts arguing and telling by me she can’t discount the bear(I don’t want a discount!!!) and there’s nothing she can do now. Crazy behavior by a place that’s meant for kids. Hope she stops working there, horrible attitude, so rude and demeaning. doesn’t take any accountability. I can’t believe this is what build a bear employs and stands for.

A little stand but the lady that helped us was extremely nice and fun for the kids. I forgot her name but she was amazing. I would deff recommend

It’s always a fun time taking my daughter to Build-A-Bear she absolutely loves it! Every year on your child’s birthday if you have an account you can get a bear for the price of their age. For example, my daughter turned eight so I only paid eight dollars plus tax for her Build-A-Bear. It’s such a sweet birthday tradition.

Unfortunately, they are no longer in a shop but a little stall in the mall. My baby enjoyed his birthday teddy, and the two staff members who attended to us were quite pleasant. On the other hand, they are quite persuasive in making you buy more things that are “typical, right?” 🤣. Ensure you have a good idea of what you want and a budget.

Went for my son’s first birthday. They switched the location of the store, it is much smaller now and all the nostalgia of the original build a bear is gone. One of the workers was very overbearing*lol* and a bit rude with direction. The other worker barely spoke to us that made our bear and seemed less than enthused to be working.

Came in for my sons first birthday and Sarah helped us build our bear. She was amazing, we talked and I also mentioned about my first son passing and she was amazing, I can’t explain how much she meant as a stranger to me.l by just listening. She was so warm and comforting and was extremely EXTREMELY pleasant to have a conversation. I would highly recommend people to go in and ask for Sarah to build your bear people!! Thank you 💕

My boyfriend and I went to create a personalized bears for each other and we had a great time with everything! Angelina (hopefully I got her name right) helped us and also made the experience fun and enjoyable!!

Okay experience, they needed more staff on a Saturday. Didn’t give five stars because the cashier was not kind and did not listen to our request to have her stamp the passport we purchased.

the employee that helped me, jordan, absolutely made the bear building experience what it used to feel like as a kid and really livened the experience!! you can tell that he enjoys his job so much which is much needed!!
