Over the last year they have generously welcomed Masha, a Ukrainian refugee staying with our family, into their teen classes. It gives her an outlet to express herself and a chance to meet local peers. I cannot say enough about GAC's commitment to their values, and the beauty they offer to Garrison and beyond.”
“What a cool place! Took a day trip today to try a glass blowing experience here, and even though I was pretty excited about it, my expectations were exceeded. Everyone on staff was so nice, and Eric and Makayla did a great job helping us with the hands on glass blowing. Made two hearts, cannot wait to see the finished product once they are cooled! Also there is a beautiful gallery and shop with loads of unique pieces from local artists, and though I wasn't expecting to shop, I ended up taking a few pieces home with me because I just couldn't resist. Am already planning my next trip back with some other friends. Definitely recommend.”
“Distortion Society was welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The shop is also a contemporary art gallery, which was different and refreshing to me since most shop's walls are covered in flash or the like.
Bradley is a very talented artist who was patient, communicative, and flexible with me during our project. His style aligns well with my tastes and he's just so easy to collaborate with. I couldn't be happier with the results!
I'm not one to get sticker shock, especially when it comes to my tattoos. Art is art. The years an artist has spent honing their skills is rarely understood by us [the clients]. The piece that Bradley designed and gave to me feels priceless. I can't say every tattoo shop deals in priceless art, but Distortion Society does.

“We went there because we basically missed our train. We wanted to explore the area and stumbled upon this store. The owner David is such a nice person. He single handedly made our day. We chatted, got a book and he even gave both of us hand painted human body illustration of a book he was reassembling for free! Just so we will remember him! The next time I will go there only to meet him, he is such an amazing human being.”
“I went with my wife on Valentine’s Day. We had a great time, we did the pottery and then we also did the ceramics with our hands and we had a great time. We’re gonna be going back later on to do the painting portion and we’re excited. It is definitely a go to place. The people and the artist were great.”

“John did an EXCELLENT job gicleeing (sp) 9 blue prints from my childhood home. Not only that, he framed three posters and re-framed an old painting I had for years. I could NOT be happier with his work. Remember, if you want something done on the cheap, go to a mass market store. If you want something done by a craftsman, go to New Windsor Art & Frame.”

“Interesting and unique pieces from local artists and more well know and interesting exhibits. Not very large but just enough to spend a few hours. It was a nice visit with some cool modern art pieces. The only thing I would say is the entry price should be a little lower. It was empty when we arrived which might account for the high entry price. Open only on sat and Sunday with limited hours. It was something different and unique to do on a sat.”
“A lovely jewelry shop full of very unique and absolutely beautiful creations. The staff is always very friendly, very helpful and they know the original creators of their jewelry. I have bought two extraordinarily beautiful and unique necklaces from the store and I plan to go back very soon to add to my collection.”
