“Garrison Art Center is an absolutely amazing organization that focuses on learning, community, creativity and growth. Over the last year they have generously welcomed Masha, a Ukrainian refugee staying with our family, into their teen classes. It gives her an outlet to express herself and a chance to meet local peers. I cannot say enough about GAC's commitment to their values, and the beauty they offer to Garrison and beyond.”
“If you go to Beacon, it's a beautiful place worth visiting. It's a place where you can experience glass crafts and also purchase items. There's a small gallery on the second floor, and that's worth seeing. Although I might hesitate to buy it at the high price, wouldn't a beacon be a good souvenir to remember New York?”
“My wife and I were drawn in from across the street by the surveillance distortion TV installment in the window. Then we saw Tattoo shop. I have been putting off getting my terrible tattoo covered up. This was a sign! I now have a sleeve from Bradley. The vibe in the shop is very inviting. Chill areas to think about your choices in life,LOL. I went in the back garden, looked at some of the art installations in the gallery, and then got in the chair and blasted off with my new friend Bradley! Shop was busy because everyone there is talented.”

“We found the contact info in our family members files - he had all of his art professionally framed here. As we are packing it all up to move a long distance away, needed advice on how to protect and pack. The owner was very helpful, selling us packing material at cost, showing us how to wrap & protect during storage and move along with providing large cardboard materials for protection.
The framing work is top notch and beautifully done - and the support well after the sale is caring and highly valued. Thank you!”

“Found this through a guide on used bookstores in the Hudson Valley, which did not tell the whole story. An enchanted world of books and maps and arts in a 19th century train station, with a friendly Australian proprietor who wants to help you find amazing things.”

“BAU gallery has featured the creative efforts of so many artists in its monthly shows in Beacon, New York throughout the years. Every second Saturday from 6-8 pm there is a town-wide open studios event and opening for a new exhibition. The gallery has a good mix of paintings, drawings, experimental work and ceramics. There is always something new to see there.”
“We walked in this incredible shop because we saw a sign in the window that said “Opal’s for October” which is my daughter’s birthday and we went in. So many unique stones and jewelry! Many stones I’ve never even heard of! The owner is so helpful and sweet and her prices make it so everyone can get a little something to remember their trip to Beacon. My daughter and I got matching rings and an Opal necklace.”
“I went with my wife on Valentine’s Day. We had a great time, we did the pottery and then we also did the ceramics with our hands and we had a great time. We’re gonna be going back later on to do the painting portion and we’re excited. It is definitely a go to place. The people and the artist were great.”
“Interesting and unique pieces from local artists and more well know and interesting exhibits. Not very large but just enough to spend a few hours. It was a nice visit with some cool modern art pieces. The only thing I would say is the entry price should be a little lower. It was empty when we arrived which might account for the high entry price. Open only on sat and Sunday with limited hours. It was something different and unique to do on a sat.”
