“Food and drinks were okay. A little overpriced in my opinion for the drinks. Two small mojitos (not strong) cost $44. Had to keep going out the room to call them if we wanted to order drinks or food; so service could be a little more attentive. But they were accommodating and very patient when it came to splitting the bill unexpectedly. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and had good sound.”

My sister has celebrated her 16th, 18th, 21st, and now 23rd birthdays here, and each event has been just as magical as the last. “REALLY gorgeous setting for a mid-Fall wedding. (I was in the bridal party, not the bride, FYI, so I can't speak to planning). Food was DELICIOUS, staff was AMAZING and helpful and friendly, everything was clean and bright and well-cared-for. Grounds were beautiful. The bride and groom were taken care of and we all had a wonderful time. The Ceremony itself was perfect and highest compliments to all involved.

My only notes: cocktail hour happened as the sun went down, and in mid-Fall it got cold quickly, even with outdoor heaters; if you're in the wedding party, bring an outer layer. We ended up going up to the Bridal suite to warm up.

If you are having pictures taken, don't wear shoes that have pointy heels, as they will most likely sink into the soft ground/lawn, which is on a bit of an incline (heads up if you have any mobility issues). Not a big deal, just a heads-up.

We brought our dresses to get changed into onsite, but the bridal suite (while beautiful and well-fitted with seats, photo opportunities [beautiful lighting]), and places to put things you might bring with you) isn't actually the best place to get changed; the large windows offer guests below a glimpse up, and the glass window separating the Groom's Suite from the Bridal Suite is covered by a curtain of sorts on the Groom's side that can be pulled back by anyone in that room for a peek into ours. Two of the bridal party are not adults and we didn't feel comfortable getting changed in there. We opted to get changed in the ladies' room across from the Bridal Suite, which is roomy, but there aren't enough hooks to hang dresses so we had to juggle things; there isn't a lock on the main door so at one point I had my husband stand guard outside; and several times when we went in to get changed, touch things up, or just use the bathroom (which can be an issue in a bridesmaid's dress as you might imagine), staff was sitting in the toilet stalls, talking on the phone and (in one instance) Facetiming. We had to wait to get dressed or use the toilets (as there was no lock on the main bathroom door, we had to get changed in the stalls for privacy) while staff finished their conversations in the toilet stalls. At one point there were three of us (bridesmaid + junior bridesmaids) crammed in the larger stall as I helped one use the toilet while trying to keep her dress out of it, and helped the other struggle into an outfit change, while the staff member in the toilet stall next to us made a Facetime call. At another time, we waited for a free stall for so long that other members of the wedding party called us, wondering if we were okay/needed help. I get it, I used to valet park at a very exclusive country club and there were times when you needed to use the bathroom, make a call, or even just take a breather, but we were strictly forbidden from using bathrooms or suites meant for Party members. Not a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind if you plan to get changed onsite.

Overall though, a really beautiful venue with awesome staff that added up to a wonderful day. Thank you!”

“I had a celebration of life memorial here for my dad. The space was accommodating for our needs. The staff was friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. I also liked that we had lots of flexibility and time with setting up and cleaning after the event. We had the space for practically an entire day. My only issue is that it took a few days to get my deposit money back. I took off one star away for that. The staff was friendly still. They apologized and fixed the issue. Other than that, it was a good experience. I’d recommend it.”

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their customer service was top-notch. They were incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable.

“I've been here many times for my work holiday party and it's always great! Very clean and beautiful space. They have valet parking and coat check. They decorate it nicely for Christmas. We've had some parties where they serve us seated and other times buffet. The buffet style is my fave as there is way more food offered and an extra bar near the food. The restrooms are beautiful and clean and the women that work there are always friendly. Def enjoy this place!”

“The owners were amazing this spot is very beautiful and then a great location if you have to drive or take the train. I really loved that they had chairs and tablecloths readily available and even the big Grand chair if you're having a baby shower or bridal shower or just honoring anyone at an event. There's also a heating area that can heat all your food that's not ready to be taken out and placed into serving trays yet.”

“My FAVORITE live venue. The sound and view is great all around. I've seen Chemical Brothers, Duran Duran, CAKE, Robert Plant, Culture Club, B-52s, Cat Powers, Future Island, Morrissey (and he did not cancel, which is rare), and more. Really wanted to see Pulp live last year, but it was bad timing on my part. So many good memories here. It's pretty historic too. The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix played here.

Anyway, don't listen to the cranky neighbors, it's not *that* loud. I've been to other venues that you can't even hear yourself think. Forest Hills stadium has been consistently respectful of the local residents. They really do try. I wished I lived in the area, I could just walk to the venue! Otherwise I'd leave the windows open just to hear the concert.

Anway, the food court is amazing. Very ADA accessible. To me, it's the perfect place to see a concert. The only downside is the curfew, but it is what it is.”

“Great time here at the Rock Club.Purchased a Groupon and decided to visit on a Friday morning. Called ahead and the front desk staff were very quick in getting back to me to confirm that a belayer was available at that time. They also confirmed the Groupon over the phone. I went ahead and completed the required waiver forms online prior to our visit.Adequate parking was available at that time. The Rock Club (downstairs) shares its space with a with a tennis club, so make sure you follow the ramp down toward the Rock Club entrance and NOT the stairs whih leads to the tennis club.We arrived at around 10am and it was fairly empty. The Rock Club staff explained the process and set us up with climbing shoes.We were then introduced to our belayer who was awesome. Over the next hour, we tried climbs ranging in difficulty. The wall heights range from about 35-40 feet and the peg placement and wall angles vary throughout the climbs, making some more difficult than others. We even had some time to try some bouldering. Our belayer was great at explaining techniques and technical terms. She was very patient and very encouraging...though not "pushy" at all.After we finished, the staff was nice enough to show us around to see what else was available at the facility: childrens area, common areas, training rooms and weight rooms.May go without saying...wear comfy clothes. As a regular gym-goer, but someone who has NOT climbed before, this was a welcomed challenge. Certain muscles, particularly the forearms and core, may not be part of the typical gym regimen...but are very important in climbing...that being said, I was definitely feeling it the next day.Overall we had a great experience at the Rock Club. We will deinifitely look into other classes.Kudos to all the staff members there.”

The team at Jungle Adventure were extremely responsive from our initial inquiry to our follow-up after the party. The team onsite during the birthday were organized, attentive and very helpful. The food catered was very good and the cakes were beautiful - all ordered and coordinated by Jungle Adventure, along with the double decor (we had a theme for each child). “I am a native Nyer who moved and back visiting from NC. Stayed here as the reviews were better than others around. While this was a tad pricer I decided why not. We arrived around 8pm. At first look the property looks really good. There were valets who we asked where to park and they showed us the other side of the building. On entry in the lobby, it's clean, uncluttered and well lit. No musty odors. We got to our room and we were impressed. I had no expectations but was nicely surprised. I am always on the look out for a room not well cleaned. Hair on the pillow or bathroom floor...NOPE. there was none of that. We ordered room service and the bread basket with the olive oil was really good. The fries..were crispy and done well. The room was modern enough, clean. Not a dust in sight. Even in the morning. Bravo.We actually decided we would stay here again.No complaints.Rooms: The rooms are spacious. Had the king room.Food & drinks: Food was good. A bit pricey but worth it.”
