“First time here today because of the semi-annual sale caught my eye. I usually have low expectations with customer service because they usually don't pay attention to me while they mindlessly fold clothes. However, I was lucky enough to meet Darlene, who surprised me with her kindness. She immediately took the items I was holding and made a fitting room with my name drawn on it with a heart. She addressed me by my first name, asked if I needed anything while I was trying on clothes, looked for other sizes on a romper that was too small for me while I was in the fitting room, and complimented the items that I did choose. I wish I could meet more people like her while I shop. Thank you, Darlene, and I will definitely be back!”
“Well, I had a great experience here yesterday. I loved it. It was like shopping at the mall in the 1980's. Granted, I was there at 12noon on a Tuesday, but it was Dec 3rd. There were people around, but it was relaxing! I thought merchandise selection was really great! I went for a light winter coat and had a lot to choose from - found a perfect one by Docker's. Price was nice at $84, lines were fine, people were nice. I initially explored buying a coat on-line, as I do for many things. But, prices seemed high, like coats at L.L. Bean were running about $160 on sale, and not being able to try on a coat, I know, is a daunting proposition. I thought about Macy's (usually quite expensive), I thought about Target (not a great selection often), I thought about Walmart (quality and style always a question). Finally I decided on my old friend JCPenney. One store, and it was perfect. I also bought a bunch of new Gold Toe socks. And the store was in great shape! Well done to the manager, and staff, or owners - whomever is responsible. It was neat - the way things used to be - and the way it should be. It really changes the shopping experience.”
“Shoe department; mens sizes were jumbled, not uncommon in box stores where there is a shoe department & no full time shie attendant. However after visiting 4 shoe stores, Kohls had a size & shoe brand acceptable to me.”
