Scarsdale Medical Group is partnered with White Plains Hospital to provide coordinated care. Many patients report having been with the practice for decades and describe having great doctors who provide exceptional and comfortable care, making patients feel safe and satisfied. Specific medical departments, including podiatry, dermatology, primary care, endocrinology, and gastroenterology, are noted for great care. The support staff is generally described as satisfactory to excellent, with instances of nice and helpful responsiveness to appointment problems. However, significant criticisms exist. There are reports of poor billing practices, including patients being turned over to a collection agency unexpectedly and difficulties obtaining clear receipts. Furthermore, patients report challenges scheduling appointments, with good doctors often not taking new patients and specialist wait times sometimes being extremely long, though the administration has shown responsiveness in hiring new specialists to address such needs.
Some of the doctors are considered excellent, but the standard of care is incredibly poor. They don’t return calls, appointments can be impossible to get, especially with specialists and there is almost no follow up. If you need quality healthcare, or have actual health issues, go somewhere else.
