“I'm a believer in serendipity, or maybe it's synchronicity. November 18th, 2022, my life changed forever when I saw the Hopper exhibit at the Whitney in NYC. I was always enamored by Nighthawks and the like, but seeing all of the works/sketches up close, was something else.I was told many years ago to take the train up to Nyack and see the Hopper house and the foliage, on November 17th, 2023 I did so. I was not disappointed. The admission ticket allows you to roam the house freely, but Eileen (who greeted me when I walked in) was a wealth of information and gave me my own personal tour. We spoke at length about many things and I spent over two hours there devouring all I could, especially information on Edward's wife Josephine Verstille Hopper (who's been neglected over the years - hopefully that will change). Eileen was kind enough to annotate a map of the places in Nyack that inspired Hopper paintings. I visited them as well.I will be back in the summer time for their storied Jazz Nights in the garden behind the house. If you love Hopper be sure to check this off your bucket list. I'm glad I did.”

“The Art School at Old Church offered such a unique experience for me. My instructor Naho took such joy in teaching me how to make Jewelry, a beginner who knew nothing. Naho and the school turned my venture into Jewelry, a fire, metal, brass, copper, hammer, saw, and fire into an incredible experience. The acclaimed artists and educators make the school unique. Thank you, Naho.”

“The Blue Door Art Center is for me a uniquely welcoming arts community providing artistic connections in a nurturing atmosphere of openness and inspiration. Artists of all levels and media participate in "almost monthly" themed exhibitions. The art center also holds frequent free classes for kids and various interactive events. If you want a supportive place to meet other artists and work on your craft, visit, participate, join!”

“Broke the glass on my McKnight lithograph. The litho is only worth $400, so didn't want to break the bank getting new glass put in. Called the art shop in downtown White Plains and called Larchmont Art to get an indication of price. Everybody says the place in White Plains is expensive for framing work which is consistent with the price I was given. Spoke to Bill at Larchmont Art over the phone, and not only was the price better, but Bill was friendly and forthcoming. I knew I wanted museum glass because I hang this piece in a sunny room. I drove my piece to the shop, where they were polite and friendly. They pointed out that I didn't have acid free backing behind my print, and replaced it for me, put new paper on the back of my frame to seal it, and even added a couple of rubber bumpers on the back to keep the frame from rubbing the wall. The job was done on one day, and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.”

“Great for summer camp! My son Iearned so much and the teachers and staff were all educated at School of Visual Arts and other schools. They were very patient with my son, especially the lady at the front desk with the short hair. My son's artwork is amazing!!!! He took fashion design and nature drawing. His teacher had a degree in fashion design. I can't believe he was able to learn so much in such a short period of time. We went upstairs after and saw older kids were learning how to use art software that is currently being used in the digital advertising industry today. This school provides professional level training to kids and opens their minds to limitless opportunities. Drove by so many times & glad we finally enrolled my son. They expanded to New York and all over the country in just 7 years, which is a testament to this innovative art instruction. There was only a very small one time registration fee for summer and that was all made very clear when I registered online.”
