“If you are going to the Catskills or heading up the Thruway this is the best. Very cordial check-in, pleasant clean rooms, breakfast at 6am, Starbucks 4 minutes away and a price point that is The best in the area. Either local places had issues with cleanliness, mold, water. This was really nice. Microwave mini fridge TV to Wi-Fi coffee in the room.”

“I booked one of the "rustic" rooms and couldn't have been more pleased. The room reminderd me of FDR's Warm Springs retreat. Charming, spotless, comfortable bed, plenty of towels and very polite staff. Continental breakfast was a bonus. Would definitely stay again or recommend to others. Reasonably priced, too!”
“We are very happy with our decision to book our wedding courtesy hotel block at the Hampton Inn & Suites Poughkeepsie. Communication between me, Indira, and Peter was always quick and easy via email, which made the entire process simple. Many of our guests utilized the block for both the night before and the night of our wedding, filling all 20 standard rooms and 2 suites, and we were even able to add 5 additional standard rooms as needed.
We also booked the Liberty Room for our ceremony rehearsal, which was clean, set up exactly as needed, and perfect for our group. In addition, we hosted a small welcome gathering in the breakfast area by the lobby, which worked out wonderfully and was a great space for guests to mingle.
The only thing we wish had been different was having the hotel block rooms located closer together, as our guests were spread out across different floors. However, this was a minor inconvenience overall, and the experience was still very positive.”
“We had Thanksgiving dinner here. Very attentive staff, excellent food service in a delightful countryside venue. Rooms, gift shop, bar and restaurant seating available. Can't say enough about what a wonderful time we had!”

I especially want to talk about the great customer service Manny offers. He’s always helpful and addresses everyone as sir and ma’am. He’s polite and knows how to build a professional relationship with the guest.Food & drinks: There are tons of places to drive between 5-15 minutes away for food and drinks.”

“One of the best hotels in the area, the rooms were great, breakfast was one of the better breakfast's I have had at a hotel, and the service from the employees was top tier. Everyone was super nice, helpful, and pleasant to speak with. Especially George at the front desk, he was very professional, kind, and made our experience so smooth and great. We will definitely be returning to this hotel!”

“I've read a couple of bad reviews but I guess that's everywhere you go now and days. Thank God we traveled from West Palm, Florida and so far I don't really have much to complain about, except the fact that, the room is kind of small. That was the only thing when I arrived but I was able to get my mom's wheelchair thru the bed and the TV dresser. So far so good. Breakfast can't go wrong. OJ was a little watered down but hey I'm booked til Monday and I'm ok with that. I would have preferred maybe a real coffee maker with a coffee pot not the little pod filtered coffee because I bought coffee and couldn't even make coffee. Definitely need to rent a vehicle to move around. There is a gas station right next door, dairy queen alittle further down and an Eveready diner. The best London Broil in brown sauce. ????”

“So I just had to stay here for an extended period while I dealt with some things. I don't know what all the negative reviews are about because I never once experienced a problem or any rude employees. My room was always clean and if I needed something they were helpful. “I had a nice day with my wife here for one night in the winter time. It was pretty being alongside the river. Nice view. The rooms are somewhat dated, but we’re very clean and everything worked as needed. The breakfast was abundant and awesome! Seating for breakfast is in view of the river and plenty of seats. I would stay here again. The building itself looks like something out of a mystery novel, and I loved that!
Rooms: Rooms were a little dated but very clean. The only issue was the auxiliary heater was not functional in the room. We actually didn’t even use it in the night time on a winters day, so it didn’t really matter, but it would’ve been nice to be a little warm in the morning. I never mentioned it to staff.
Safety: Off of a quiet country road, I never felt unsafe there. Well lit parking lot.”

“We had an amazing time at Rocking Horse Ranch! The staff were wonderful, the activities were so much fun, and the food was great. A special shoutout to Ariana, who was so great during karaoke night — she even tried to find a Chinese song for us, which made us feel truly included. We can’t wait to come back.”
