“My family has visited this resort 4 times over the past 2 years and have loved it every time. It has fantastic food (especially dinner), well-maintained facilities with a lot of fun activities during both winter and summer, and the staff is phenomenal. Great staff is what makes a resort memorable. One snow/mountain tubing staff member that sticks out to us is Emily, who always ran up and gave my daughter a warm hug, remembered her name, and was very sweet and caring to her all throughout all of our stays. My daughter can't wait to see her again next year! Thanks for everything, Emily!”

“Oh you can stay in Poughkeepsie but, you’d be missing out. Stay right in the middle of what you’ve come to see. Rooms are updated and very clean , comfortable and well attended. And it’s only a few minute’s drive to the major attractions. The coffee shop is full of memorabilia from the days when the automobile was new and America took to the roads. Reasonably priced and comfortable beds and pillows. Extra towels ! Joe Cristiano’s pizza delivers a great meal, or you can choose from three restaurants with a few minute’s drive to The Culinary Institute. Book it!”

“Nice rooms, clean, efficient. Weird that the bar restaurant closes at 10 pm. And not all on the menu was available. What was the use in handing us a menus.Rooms: Nice comfortable large bed ? Kingsize.”

“The room seemed to have been renovated lately and they were clean. They were also pretty spacious. There was a microwave and a coffeemaker in the room, but you can also get (kinda good) coffee in the lobby. The staff were efficient and polite, so no complaints from my side. The only thing was, that there weren't a lot of choices to eat, so we had to drive to the nearest town. A minor inconvenience as it was pretty nice otherwise.Rooms: Renovated and clean.Food & drinks: You have to drive to the nearest town for good options.”

“Just wanted to share my experience with you regarding the Bellefield Residence Inn. We were in search of a relaxing retreat near Mohonk Mountain and stumbled upon this gem. Let me tell you, it exceeded all expectations!First off, the Hotel is brand new and in impeccable condition. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the whole place had a fresh and welcoming vibe. The staff, particularly Basil at the front desk Supervisor Malorie De Gelormo, were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. One highlight was the breakfast, it was simply excellent! The variety of options and the freshness of the food impressed us. We left each morning feeling satisfied and ready for the day ahead.Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Bellefield Residence Inn and would definitely consider staying here again for an extended period. I sincerely hope that the staff continues their great work and maintains the high standards that we experienced”

“My husband and I just stayed here for a 3 day getaway from NYC. Absolutely loved it. Place was immaculate and Samantha at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Pool was spotless along with the beautiful fitness center. We walked the walkway over the Hudson and had dinner both nights at Shadows which is one of my favorite restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.”

“As we check in at front desk, the receptionist was so nice. We ask for room facing the Hudson River and was able to get one. We also got cookies. The hotel is in process of reno and we got one that was updated. Hotel so convenient near by restaurants.”

“Room was a little cramped in comparison to other hotels in the same price range. Breakfast was ok but not noteworthy. Staff was friendly and attentive but I found it a little rude calling my room to make sure I got out by 11:00. Won't be staying here again.”

“This place has changed hands over the years & its interior decor seems to ebb & flow between "under construction" and "pretty nice for a Best Western." I absolutely love the rooms that are creekside, worth the $10 or so extra bucks. You can hear the stream all night long, look out during the day to see trees, deer, birds, and of course the water. The breakfast itself is the usual weird chain hotel food (tiny plastic wrapped danishes, tiny yogurts, cereal etc) however the dining area is spacious and again, affords a nice view of the stream. I lived in the area when this hotel was built many decades ago, before it was a Best Western. It always felt very grand, it added some glamour to this suburban intersection. It was called "Inn at the Falls" because back then the stream cascaded over actual waterfalls. Not sure what happened to the falls, but now it's more of a quiet stream. The rooms are really expensive but seem sadly comparable to most other hotels in the area, plus most others are on Route 9 which is a lot less picturesque than Wappingers Creek. It's unfortunate that for $200-ish/night, the furniture & paint jobs & such in the rooms are on the janky side. Get it together, Best Western! Maintain this beautiful building. Pro tip: walk around the corner for some Carvel ice cream.”

“The negative reviews posted by others are due to the bad behavior of a few immigrants that the hotel has contracted to house. They have on-site security people, and I was assured that "for the most part, nothing bad happens around here"Rooms: We stopped in specifically because we wanted to see if it was as bad as the reviews say it was. The room we viewed was clean, except for a tiny bit of black mold from condensation by the window.”
