“Every time I go in there they workers are having a party, swinging from the lamps, dancing, blaring the music, drinking cocktails. I think I smell weed sometimes too. I usually hang out for a couple of songs and then leave buzzed, I usually forget to mail my letters LOL. Did anyone ever play that game with with the postage scale they are always playing? SO FUN!”

The Mount Sinai USPS branch is calm, organized, and staffed by people who are actually respectful and willing to help you figure out what you need. The full range of standard postal services is covered -- Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, certified mail, money orders, stamps, packaging supplies, and passport services -- and the layout makes it easy to navigate without feeling overwhelmed. Wait times are manageable and the pace of the operation does not feel rushed or chaotic. Parking is available on site, which removes one of the usual headaches of a postal errand entirely. By any reasonable standard for a government postal facility in New York State, this branch is doing things right. Nothing flashy, nothing extraordinary -- just a post office that works the way a post office should. That is more than enough to earn a recommendation.”
“This is my hometown. This is the eagle as we call it. Flaps its wings on the hour. It hasn't worked and I don't even know how long like 40 years? I can't remember the last time it flapped I think it was in the '80s sometimes and it wouldn't even flap on the right time at all or even consistently during the day night or whatever.
So they just fixed it. It's all beautiful and I wanted to go down and take some pictures of it and just be in that space again.
It's such a beautiful post office. Probably one of the nicest ones on the island for sure. Especially with its unique eagle.
You did such a good job restoring it It is absolutely gorgeous. I didn't even see it in the best of light but it is magnificent.

“I personally go out of my way to avoid Sayville PO as some of the clerks are outright rude. I know many of my neighbors also avoid this PO. Sadly, the supervisor couldn’t care less.
West Sayville employees are warm and friendly and they actually go out of their way for you. This is the how it should be.”

“Had a really positive experience at USPS Medford. The customer service here is honestly some of the best I’ve seen—staff are always friendly, patient, and very attentive. They take the time to help, answer questions, and make sure everything is handled properly, which makes a big difference.
Even when it gets busy, the team stays professional and keeps things moving smoothly. It’s clear they care about helping people and doing their job well.
The only thing I’d mention is that the building itself feels a bit outdated and could really benefit from a renovation. A more modern and refreshed space would make the experience even better.

“I don’t think it’s fair that no one has ever taken the time to review the counter service at our local Post Office. I am there on a regular basis, as I run on online yarn business. I am always met with polite, professional, service! Even during the stressful holiday period. We live in a time when everyone is quick to complain. I want the Post Master to know that I never see sending my packages as a chore, and that’s because of the staff working there. Kudos??!”

“I went specifically here due to reviews after being told my save the dates for my wedding were too thick with a wax seal to mail by other post offices. I was so close to having to open every single envelope and do it all over again. Until I went here! The clerk Danielle was so helpful! She made sure I had the right stamp that way it will be hand cancelled and won’t be an issue when mailing. She was so polite and even ran to make sure my postage made it on the truck for the day! I can’t thank her enough! She saved me HOURS of my time and HOURS of my hard work! I will definitely be coming back to Oakdale post office to send out my wedding invites! :)”
