Spring Creek Park in New York is a public park that stretches along the Jamaica Bay shoreline, encompassing areas within Howard Beach, Queens, and Spring Creek, Brooklyn. This expansive park is largely an undeveloped nature preserve, offering only limited areas for public recreation. It consists of three major parts, including Spring Creek South, which is part of the Gateway National Recreation Area and managed by the National Park Service. The park was created on landfilled former marshland and serves as a green oasis in the city, providing a habitat for local wildlife and a space for New Yorkers to connect with nature.

There are some beautiful spots, but the park needs a lot of cleanup. Much of the supposed trail is so overgrown with weeds as to barely be recognizable as a trail, and the beach is covered with trash. Make sure to wear long pants if walking within the park, as you'll be surrounded by high grass and reeds. It's also very annoying to get over to/from Shirley Chisholm State Park, as there's only really one entrance to the Shore Parkway pedestrian and bike path in each park and they're at the furthest ends from each other.
