I was inpressed by the punctuality and professionalism in their request. As I was checking out, a self service representative was quick to assist with an unknown item. Food looks and tastes fresh with a variety of prepared foods as well. I myself enjoy buying things, and the organization of this store made this pleasure easily obtainable. Chocolate at checkout was eyeing me with lust.”

    “At McCann's, you have access to the big shots that make 'policy.' The chain stores have no choice but to follow their rules regardless of your situation. Next, price is usually the same as set by insurance or the source. Customer service is excellent. No waiting in line for answers to questions. Just some reasons why my prescriptions go there. Don't tell anyone about them or we'll all be waiting in the lines we made.”

    “Had what i needed, a drink and some eye drops. As i entered, the young cashier made sure I didnt need help and waited for me to go to self checkout before continuing her stocking duties. Clean store, never busy when i visit. The candy displays are a little aggressive, or maybe thats my sweet tooth taking hold.”

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
