“Beautifully designed, high-end, old-school inspired gym. Despite the really gorgeous, upscale design I felt very relaxed and at home, no snootiness there at all. Spoke to several people working out + staff and everyone was very nice.

It was busy, but not too busy where I had to wait for anything.

The gym had everything I needed to do my weight training. There was also a separate, more private, yet spacious room where I stretched. In addition there were two water fountains as well as two water dispensers with ice water.

After my workout I got a protein shake (Press, Not Stress with blueberries) in the juice bar, it was delicious.

The only thing I would improve is to add instructions for the lockers. It was not by any means self explanatory. In addition, a woman had her stuff stuck in one of the lockers and staff couldn’t open it for her so she had to wait for maintenance for quite a while to get her bag back.

Overall a wonderful place to workout. I will definitely be going back!”

“I recently visited Planet Fitness while visiting family in New York, and this was actually my first time ever going to a Planet Fitness outside of my home locations in the Charleston, South Carolina area. I’ll Iadmit, I was a little nervous at first since I’m so used to my regular gyms - Ashley Phosphate, Northwoods, and Summerville.

Overall, I had a very positive experience. The layout was different from the locations I’m familiar with, but the gym itself was very nice, clean, and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean, the equipment areas looked well maintained, and everyone working out seemed happy and comfortable.

What stood out the most to me was the kindness of one of the employees when I first walked in. I explained that I had never visited this location before and needed help checking in on my phone. There were two employees at the counter, and while one person didn’t really interact much, the other employee — who I believe mentioned they were very new to the job — truly went above and beyond to help me. They were patient, friendly, and took the time to explain everything, including tanning and how the location worked. That kindness made a big difference and immediately made me feel more comfortable being there.
