“These guys are just awesome. I needed screws for my samsung TV bracket. Went there and these guys treated me as if I was buying goods worth millions. They really understand customer service.m. I will definitely go back for all my hardware stuff. God bless Marden”
“Celtic has been a great customer experience for all of our active construction projects we've used them on. Working with Christina Rivera, our Rep. is always a pleasure. She provides prompt responses, expertly selected alternate materials when needed, and great turnaround time on deliveries. Her representation of the Celtic Building Supplies company is a standard for the industry and we appreciate the continued elevated customer service.”
“Great local hardware. Benjamin Moore paint dealer and a little bit of everything. New City once had several hardware, but this is the last one. Formerly part of a lumber yard, it's now hardware and paint only. Best thing - Skip and his team are a wealth of information. They have saved me many times in the nearly 50 years I've patronized them.”
“I just want to share how fantastic it is to have a local hardware store like this. I parked in front, put in for my free fifteen minute parking, and went inside looking for a part to fix my toilet. In literally one minute and thirty seconds (I had the meter timer running), someon helped me find the right part after I picked up the wrong one, I paid (less than I would have if I went through Amazon), and was out the door, back in my car, and on my way home. 10/10 experience. Will come here over Home Depot / Lowes / Amazon as often as I can.”
“Kawer’s has been our go to for their array of paint and our favorite Farrow & Ball colors since moving to Bronxville almost a decade ago. The very BEST part about Kawer’s is DAVE in the glass/mirror department. He’s precise, creative and his work is FLAWLESS in glass, mirrors, screens, Dave always delivers beyond expectations.”
“Purchased a barbecue in and out in 15 mins. Jason and Christian were extremely helpful and they are putting it together so I can pick up assembled at no charge. Will always come here for my hardware needs. Great customer service!”
“Mark at best plumbing was amazing, knowledgeable and recommended other items to make the job not only easier but faster. Highly recommend this representative and without a doubt this Elmsford, NY”

“They have just about everything I need and if they don't have it, they try to order it for me.
They have almost everything that I need and their are pretty fair compared to other places I have gone to!!!👍👍👍”
“Preston was informative and very helpful. He made my shopping experience easier by helping me put together things I needed for my project. I would shop here again.”
“Berger Hardware, an Ace location, is everything you don’t get at those Big Box stores. Great help every time I go in, which is usually for something small and hard to describe let alone find.”
“The staff was friendly and helpful. Background music could help distract from the spooky, squeaky noises of the floor. Overall, it was a pleasant shopping experience, and we found what we were looking for.”
“Looking for great deals on tools? This is the place. Particularly, good for hand tools and stuff were precision is not required. As Harbor Freight goes this is a new, clean and well run location.
Update: this looks like a successful location. Well stocked, clean and the staff seems to actually know where things are located.”
“Love this place! Ingrid is the sweetest! I was so happy to see her back in the store. Foley’s has so many items to choose from! They have everything from hardware to household and no long lines ?”
“Best hardware store

Anything you need it's in the store
I have been going there over 35 years”
“Melrose has been incredibly helpful assisting with my woodworking project. They not only gave me expert opinions but Anthony worked with me and helped with all the cutting work I needed.”
“I highly recommend Chappaqua Paint and Hardware not only for their customer service in their store but also for some of the home services they offer. The owner and his team recently scrubbed and power washed my deck and outdoor furniture (and cleaned my grill) and I am thrilled with the results. Everything looks brand new again.”

“I always have a great experience buying from Nyack Lumber. Very friendly staff. They will cut the plywood down to the dimensions you need. They even said with the remaining strip that I could bring it back to get cut down again if needed for no charge.
They also delivered a whole deck Job worth of materials to Ossining for me which was so convenient!! They said they deliver to Westchester all the time.
I try to avoid the big box stores and this is a great alternative!”
“Whether you're a DIY painter who needs advice, or a professional contractor that needs to buy in bulk, this is the hardware store I recommend. The service that you get as soon as you walk in is absolutely unparalleled. These guys are knowledgable, professional, and the most personable crew I've ever had the pleasure of working with. The selection is fantastic, the prices are beyond reasonable, but what I love most of all is the attentiveness of each and every employee. I don't often take the time to write reviews, but these guys earned some kind words: it's hands down, the best hardware store around.”
“June 5, 2026 came here for a few Sale items, and Joe the Manager at the front register was wonderful she took great care of me. The other women at the register was wonderful as well, sorry I didn’t capture her name. The store is clean with every tool you can imagine, with lots of great prices. The only suggestion I have to customers is check the price of the original item against the discount listed in the flyer to make sure the cash register is deducting the correct Sale price. All and all, Joe the Manager she was wonderful.”

“A great hardware store! They look you in the eye and offer to help, the moment you walk in. For a small town hardware store, it’s quite large and they have a great selection. I will be back!”
“Friendly staff. Called and ask for a part that they didnt happen to have Nd they recommended me to check a store close by! Awesome help they didnt have to do. When i do need supplies i will check here first!”
“the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, I always get the correct plumbing supplies and they save me time running back and forth to Lowes and Home depot multiple times!”

“Try this at Home Depot: I went over to Rockland county, New York, to help an 86 year old lady friend install a new mailbox. It sounds easier than it is, as hers was attached to 2 metal pipes, sitting in between other mailboxes. Rusty bolts and all that. Just getting the ancient one off was a task. After planning and measuring, we went to a neighborhood hardware store and bought a mailbox, but it turned out that they did not sell the wood we needed for the base. So we went to Beckerle in Congers. The man behind the counter treated my friend so kindly. He went to the back and found an old scrap piece of wood that fit under the mailbox. Plus, he helped me source the big screws and washers. He spent good long time with us to assure that we had what we needed, patiently and extraordinarily helpful. All that for $1.98. It was good old-fashioned service with a smile. I was impressed that there are still stores like this where customer service is top level, even if the actual profit is virtually zero. This place is the best of the best. Shop there!”
“Andrew was most helpful with a problem I had with my 3 DeWalt batteries and chargers, none of which worked, and I didn't know why. He explained that the models had been discontinued, and went to show me an adapter to purchase for my old drill. But then, he disappeared in to the back and came out with an unusable (for him) charger and battery that worked with my drill. He was so kind to let me have them! This is what makes Hometown Hardware and all the employees there so special as opposed to the big box stores! Thank you Andrew!”

“They carry Nut Rake, at least I think that's what I call it. I was so excited because I have few nut trees on my yard and every year I would pick up by hands. It brakes my back and knee..ugh...BUT no more!!! So happy and excited to find the Nut Rake!!! The BEST hardware store I have been to! Great staff also, so helpful ? ? ?”
“I stopped by Wallauer’s in New Rochelle yesterday and had such a great experience. Dilan and Josh were amazing, they really went out of their way to help me and made everything super easy. Both of them are so professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The store itself is always stocked with everything I need, which makes shopping here a pleasure. Congrats to the whole team for the great service, I’ll definitely be coming back.”
“I LOVE IT and don't know what I would do without it. This store
carries everything you could possibly need to live and if they
don't have it, they will try to get it for you. It nostalgically brings me back to my childhood. and every town should have a store like this.
When my cousins visit from different parts of New Jersey, the
first thing they want to do is go to Wards.”
“Came here in January-ish to get a shovel for the snow storm. Wasn't able to get the better ones but the guy showed me the detachable one that has a steel ice pick attachment. Even though the shoveling peice was plastic, the steel ice breaker made up for it”
