“My only disappointment was that I didn't have a bigger budget and more time to spend here! The selection was excellent without being overwhelming. The space was used thoughtfully so that you could browse without feeling cramped or overstimulated. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Tons of recommendations on the shelves as well as curated sections for indigenous authors, local authors, and local topics. I'm certain this place is a local favorite, but was exactly the type of bookstore I look for when traveling. Will absolutely be stopping back in the next time I am in town!
**It is a little hidden, but I am not upset at all because it led me to explore the local shops on the other side of the street that I otherwise might not have based on my tight schedule and planned itinerary.”
“Buffalo Street Books is an amazing indie bookstore that truly wants to connect readers to books they love! Gabby and Julie were fantastic in helping me along with a preorder process for some books as I ran into an issue with my credit card and they made it truly a breeze. They show a passion for books and a true dedication to working with readers. I highly recommend using this store! They do online orders as well so you can ship across USA.”
“I was struggling to find a book that I was looking for that is generally hard to find at bookstores. I went to the kiosk and consulted Nick, and I was drawn to them because they had such a friendly demeanor and they were extremely knowledgeable about different genres and authors (as seen through their interaction with a customer before me).
I told them the book I was looking for and B&N didn’t have it in stock, but Nick helped guide me through the process of ordering it to the store and assured me that I could take a look at the book before deciding to purchase it, which was super helpful because I want to be sure I will get something out of the books I decide to purchase. The book I was looking for was actually one that Nick had recently read, which was awesome because they were able to give me some insights on what the reading experience was like. I loved the individualized and personable approach Nick took with helping me with my visit to B&N, and I will most definitely be stopping in again to see them with any further book questions I have.”
“I was able to stay with my friends, the food was great, the rooms were kept nice, easy access to the washer and dryer for the clothes, and the staff was very nice.”
“This little badass bookshop is everything a little punk rock baddie could dream of. It’s filled and I mean filled to the brim with BOOKS. And yet somehow also all of the coolest journals and stickers and magnets to decorate one’s entire life. They are anarchist they are punk rock they are defiantly intelligent in a world where literature seems to matter less and less. I love them, I have day dreams about going and spending all my money, and I want them to exist FOREVER. A great big valentine of a bookstore.”
“The Cornell Store is the main campus bookstore and one of the best places to buy Cornell merchandise, gifts, and school supplies. Located in the center of campus, the store offers everything from textbooks and technology to clothing and souvenirs.
One of the highlights is the huge selection of Cornell apparel. Visitors can find hoodies, hats, mugs, and other branded items in almost every style imaginable. The store is also clean, organized, and easy to browse, making it enjoyable even for visitors who are not students.
The downside is that prices can be expensive, especially for branded clothing and electronics. During the start of semesters, the store can also become extremely crowded.
Overall, the Cornell Store is a great stop for anyone visiting the university. It’s the perfect place to pick up a souvenir or experience part of student life on campus.”
