“I’m visiting Ithaca for a wedding and did a drop in workout here with my friends. As a gym owner myself, I can tell that our coach Laura takes her job seriously and has a lot of knowledge and experience with both training and managing people of various levels. If you’re looking for a place to start training CrossFit this gym will probably do a great job.”

“I've been regularly attending 6AM PUMP and spin classes. I like the classes; the instructors are motivating but not pushy. I'm not the strongest or fastest, but I feel totally comfortable. Everyone's friendly.”

“One of the nicest gym owners and genuinely great people all round who really care about health and fitness. Equipment quality and variety is top-tier and membership cost is phenomenal. Couldn’t recommend more!”

“I've been coming to Island Fitness since starting Graduate School, and I have found the facility to offer great equipment and pool facilities which on campus facilities can not offer, especially a sauna. The price is very reasonable and never too crowded like on campus facilities are. The staff is very friendly and facilities are clean and bright.”

“This South Hill location has fewer pieces of equipment than the East Hill location, but it's always less crowded. The staff is always friendly and it's clean and a great place to work out!”

“I used this facility all throughout my time at Ithaca College! Very clean facilities. Staff is generally physiotherapy students and sports enthusiasts so the vibe is great. Avoid peak hours to get dibs as the equipment space goes quickly!”

“Pat is a legend. He is also kind and extremely dedicated to helping build your fitness. Love the new location, right on the canal in Ithaca. You can run the waterfront trail to warm up.”

“This box has nowledgeable coaches, a fantastic facility with all the gear you could ever want. In addition, the programming is challenging, scalable a lacks a sense of overtraining seen at some gyms. Keep up the great work!”

“Upgraded to IHF from my previous gym, and glad I did. The Community Corners location is clean, staff are friendly, and the gym is never too busy for your workout. 10/10, highly recommend.”

“I love this Y - have been going since about May and it is a wonderful alternative to the busier gyms. Less packed, good amount of machines, weights, everything you could need. Wonderful cardio room. And don’t sleep on the pool - almost always available for laps - which is a must. Thank you Y, for existing!!

My only potential concern are the young ones that find themselves in the weight room, and weight room etiquette, which most are typically good at reminding others about.”

“My first walk on this trail was great except for finding 2 bags of dog waste left behind by lazy irresponsible dog owners, one just 100 yards from the trash can. If you are too lazy to pack out your dog's waste, 1. Stay at home. 2. At the very least don't put it in plastic that some wild animal may ingest. I carried it out. Don't ruin this trail for the rest of us.”

“Great fitness center with spacious and clean dance/all purpose room, and a lot of other fund activities. The locker room is too small and makes it a bit challenging to change.”

“Bowling open to the public, old school paper scoring, no-fillls, but the only bowling alley in Ithaca. Bar is usually open unless there's only one person working there, $5 per game not bad. String pin bowling system is interesting, sometimes the pins get tangled which is funny but they're always quick to fix it and I love the people. Both times I've been there's been no one else bowling there which I think is crazy, for again, being the only alley in Ithaca without going to TBurg or Cortland. Love this place”

“Great place to work out downtown! The gym recently changed ownership, and some nice improvements have been made to the facility. I saw a review from a few years ago that says the gym doesn’t feel female friendly; I would disagree at this point. I’ve never felt uncomfortable being here, and it helps that the new owner is a woman!”

“Great place, kind management especially Kristen! I had a small issue the first time I went with one of the Hostess but the manager was lovely and immediately resolved it. Recommend this place.”

“Meg at the location in Ithaca NY is like a breath of fresh air. She is literally the reason I look forward to my workout because when I enter those doors, I know I will be greeted with a big smile and a warm welcome! She is the definition of exceptional customer service. I really hope she gets recognized for how she makes people feel amazing.”

“I don’t know why some of the reviews give this place a hard time. It’s very easy to access once you get a membership and they have all the equipment you need. Everything is a little “dingy” but at the price point of the membership and for 24/7 I think a little dirt and duct tape on some equipment is fine. It’s never super busy and I feel super comfortable here.Other gyms I’ve tried in the area is island fitness on community corners: equipment is newer there but it’s not as spaced out as East Shore or 24/7. I often felt crammed there/just didn’t like the vibes. But it could be a really good option for someone else. I also go to planet fitness which is extremely limited for my goals and the only good thing about it is the $10 a month/it’s a 2 minute drive from my house.Really glad I found east shore gym!”

“Has 2 beautiful swimming pools! One is a 4ft pool and the other is a 4ft-12ft pool. I love how they decorated the inside with the names of every school in the Ivy League”
