“Perfect location for people visiting Cornell/ Ithaca, the Woman at the front desk was amazing and very knowledgeable and was a great welcoming to our stay. The lobby/ lounge was very comfortable and made you feel like at home. They also had some very cool convenient drinks on tap that you could scan your room card and get a drink that would just charge to your room!! The room was very modern cozy rustic, very clean and just overall a great experience, am excited to stay here again in the future!!”

“The Inn and the warehouse were both very inviting and cozy. Our only complaint is about the room itself. The tv would not work twice and two people tried to figure it out finally it worked but then in the morning it stopped working all together. Plus the bed sank quite a bit in the middle. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay.”

“This was a fun hotel to stay at, the workers were super welcoming, and they always had something nice to say, we got a great view of Cornell university, and the rooms were really nice and quiet. One thing they should change is the fact that there isn’t a lot of food options at the breakfast buffet. Hope that helps!”

“Very kind and helpful people. Stayed a night here in January and so many thoughtful touches. A dog cookie for our puppy, firewood and smore ingredients, delicious coffee the next day. We locked ourselves out after hours and someone was there in less than 10 minutes to let us back into our room. Very clean and comfortable beds. You can hear cars on the nearby road while falling asleep, but it wasn’t an issue for us and we were right next to the road.”

“Just spent 4 nights with my family at the guest house. Janette could not have been nicer while there. The guest house was a perfect size for the three of us. Breakfast was provided for the whole week. The house is in a convenient location to Downtown Ithaca. The house is very quiet and the woods behind the yard create a peaceful setting. If we go back to the area we would stay at the guest house again.”

“We had the most incredible experience during our check in with Miss Jen at the front desk. She was the most professional, helpful, and compassionate team member that I’ve encountered in all my years with this brand line. She absolutely took care of the Flanagan family who had just ended our record long road trip. Promote and retain at all costs! She is great.”

“I have been staying at Best Western University Inn Ithaca for almost 10 years. BWUI is conveniently located to Cornell University where I spend a lot of time. The staff is always friendly and professional. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. BWUI offers a special veterinary rate, but many times their in-house special rate is better, and they always charge accordingly. I highly recommend Best Western University Inn Ithaca.Rooms: Always clean. Includes coffee maker and microwave.”

“We are a family of 4 visiting Ithaca for a Cornell tour over Oct 5th and 6th, 2023. Booked this hotel using AAA - given that this hotel is within 2 miles of the Cornell Ithaca campus and good shopping and amenities nearby. Boy! was I mistaken, thinking that a Choice Group Hotel will assure quality. Some points noted:1) The room had a dank smell - a mix of poop and piss - and a humid feel - we thankfully had some spray room freshners that we had to use frequently.2) The dankness was in everything you could touch - the bedsheets, pillows - everything felt dank, the floors were sticky - so much so, that we needed flip flops to walk around. God help you if you have a tot or a crawling baby.3) The refrigerator is a mild cooler - not cold even at the highest setting. If you have babies and have milk, expect it to go sour overnight, unless of course, you are traveling in winter.4) The bathroom floors are sticky, the toilet WC stained etc. etc. I won't say more - put a pic of the towel rack for reference.5) After the first night when we asked housekeeping to clean the room, their response was - "the guests need to inform the front desk the prior night" - otherwise - no cleaning. Wow! That was not told by the front desk - so you better be a psychic - or - now you know! Ask - what's the room cleaning policy? I thought Choice hotels would have uniform policies but nope.6) When asked for a change of towels at the very least, they asked us to leave all the soiled ones in the corridor and they would provide replacements. upon our return all we got was a small plastic bag containing 2 towels. Had to make a trip to the reception to fetch 2 more.7) Dusty nightstands and appliances. Also, please do not use their coffee machines. They haven't been cleaned since the Year of our Lord.8) Quilts had blood spots and a foul smell. This is normally the case, when rooms might have had bedbugs in the past. Luckily we had additional bed sheets and pillow covers that we used on the beds.9) The "best" thing was the breakfast - see pic. Just a bread counter and waffle stand - and some cornflakes. When asked if they had at least some protein, one of the staff told me that the proteins provided were such low quality that upon inspection, they were asked to take them off and would incur a $200 fine if they served that to customers. This kinda sounded ridiculous, but we skipped eating breakfast completely at this place. check closely, even the fruit stays on the counter all the time, and they look stale. My point is - don't advertise "free breakfast" when you cannot provide a decent meal to your guests.Do note - I am a Choice Privilege member and this is the hotel I faced. I think this is their consistent level of service. If you are a single traveler and can do with any level of cleanliness or the apparent lack of it, and on a severe budget, book this place or steer clear from this.”

“I thought the room I stayed in was fair. No evidence of bedbugs as many others have mentioned. In fact it looks like they may have remodeled recently. Aside from some cleanliness/ maintenance issues (toilet, dust, etc), it was a comfortable stay.”
