Our car had a major brake failure while we were on vacation in Ithaca and we're extremely grateful to John and his team for their fast, professional service. He was able to schedule us quickly (next day) and we were back on track for exploring the area and driving 300+ miles home. We also had a slow leak in a tire which John fixed and didn't charge us. A great guy and a great shop -- we're very glad we found them and recommend them highly.

John over at Ithaca Auto Service was absolutely fantastic. He took my foreign car in when nobody else would and actually ended up repairing it at an extremely reasonable price because it was just a standard ball joint issue. They’re honest, fair, and great people!

Can't recommend Ithaca Auto enough! Honest folks, great service, never once tried to upsell or bamboozle me; in fact, they went above and beyond on several occasions. Once, while picking up my partner's car, I mentioned that I had a blown spark plug and they checked it for me right there, for free. Another time, after getting service done, the car still wasn't driving right; they took a look at it later that day (same day we picked it up), made a quick adjustment, and didn't charge for the extra service.
Last thing to note, I have a 2013 VW, and it can be hard to find a reasonably priced mechanic (who isn't at a dealership) to work on foreign cars. They handled everything I needed, including a new air compressor, regular oil changes, new brake pads, alignment, and some other things I can't remember.
