Whatever you do, never rent a car from Advantage Car Rental in Orlando. Charged my card three times what I booked it as, never answered the phone for myself, Priceline or my credit card company the entire time I had the rental. I returned the car and explained the situation and the employee started laughing when they saw what employee checked me out, because apparently he overcharged 3 more customers just that same week for add on's they specifically declined. Now miraculously, after the rental is returned, the manager finally calls me to tell me that since the car is returned and the contract is closed there is nothing they can do about how much I was charged (coincidence? I think not!). Disgusting fraudulent company!Update on Advantage Car Rental, who now only gave me back 100$ of my 250$ deposit because they LIED and said I returned the car on E when I in fact returned it with a FULL tank. Shameful.

I am upset I have to give them one star. Do not rent with them regardless if you have to drive yourself from home. I am not exaggerating, they are useless, do not return Emergency phone calls, they lie about extra charges, the car broke down, i had eight emergency calls to them, I'm now home and they still haven't returned the call. just do not under any circumstances rent from this establishment.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT rent from this company. This was absolutely the worse experience I have had with a car rental company. My flight arrived @10:15pm as expected and while on the plane and taxiing to the jet bridge I filled out their registration information to help "expedite" the check-in process. I followed the instructions of the text which was to text when you have gathered your bags from baggage claim. I texted as directed at 10:38pm. The bus arrived around 10:55p and the driver told me the office was closed. All the other car rental agencies did not have a car so I opted to call them first thing in the morning. When I called they said my reservation had expired. At this point I am infuriated. To add to it, they charged me $50 for a "No Show". After endless calls of trying to get through on their line and a couple of escalations, they have denied giving me a refund for something I should not have been charged for. I have given this company ample time to make their wrong right. I have never posted a review and I plan to warn everyone I can about this company.

The reviews are very interesting. I used to rent from Advantage years ago and stopped because the hassle just wasn't worth the savings. I just checked a price for a rental coming up because rental cars have become so expensive. However, once I read the reviews, I see that the company has not really changed so I think I will not go back. It seems unfortunate that a company can't seem to streamline their process and get it together. I also notice that the business has much less locations than they used to. Maybe it's a sign to change and up your game.

Their website and all the emails said they closed at 11PM and when we got the shuttle as my husband was on the phone with them the shuttle tells us they are closed at 10:30 ? Unacceptable we were traveling an hour and a half away and we’re stranded because they false advertised their time. Do not recommend.

They charger me more than what was on the website. I've pay 2x for the insurance. Pay on the priceline website $52 for insurance and when I arrived on the front desk they charged me more $59 for the insurance because they say the online insurance wasn't full coverage. The car advertised at the time of purchase was not even an option. They charged me extra for fuel too.The ad said $98 total + fees and in the end I paid $255, and I have the receipts to prove it. This is absolutely not ok.

DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH THEM!On the day I rented the car, the car stopped working, it had a tire problem that they refused to fix, and they don’t have a direct contact to talk to them and the road side assistance said it wasn’t their problem. You’re paying to be treated like garbage. They also charged me $105 for 35 minutes late on the return when they should have the grace period. Which when I return the car they said I would have an email about the return which never happened, when I saw my credit card bill I called them and they said it was too late for resolving the issue. They don’t resolve any issues. The car was dirty and it smelled really bad.

One of our employees rented a car at the location in College Park, GA. The printout said our charge for 3 days would be $239.48. They charged the company card $533.14. When I called to find out why we were charged an outlandish amount, I was told too bad, you are S.O.L. by the management. I disputed the charge with the credit card company. Will not do business with you again. YOU SUCK BIG TIME!

Marissa at Tampa airport was great. She gave us a free upgrade to an SUV and she helped me with a concern I had about using our EZ Pass from New York for the tolls.

Booked a car online and when I went to pick the car up I was told that I need to pay $75 + Tax on top of what I already paid, for under 25 charge. When I told her that it doesn't mention any under 25 charge on the website she said that I probably booked with a different website so it didn't show. The attitude of the lady wasn't very apologetic either. She just couldn't give a s*** about anything. Would never go back to them. I'd rather pay extra next time and book with someone decent.

Cheaters!!We had a prepaid reservation. When we arrived there, the woman on the desk told us that there was no car for us and that we have to wait for 2 hours and pay an extra fee for a higher car and to return the car with no fuel. When we returned the car, we saw that the contract she gave us was wrong, not including the extra fuel we paid. The technitian man outside picked me where nobody could hear us to propose me a treat, to pay him 50$ cash inside the car to fill the tank and check the supervision like passed ok letting me to shut up. We had not enough time to call the police and pick our returning flight, so web did it. It is so sad that happens something like that in USA. We were in panic for an extra charge in our credit card for months.

Overall, I can't say I really enjoyed my experience renting from here. Most rental car companies are in a race to the bottom, but I suspect Advantage is close to the lead. I'll give them a star for the price. I booked this car online and found the rate to be pretty good ($160 total for 2 days). I did book through a third party service (Hi Hotwire!) and the process online was smooth sailing. Fairly standard, thus so far so good. One extra star for hooking me up with a really brand new Chrysler Pacifica. With its total mileage in the single digits and one can't ask for a more updated vehicle. It was perfect since I needed to pick up a bunch of folks at the airport, and while it's no Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey, I appreciated that it was new. But here's where things went south and it mainly had *everything* to do with the super inept staff. * They held me up for 25 minutes at the counter as they were attempting to "honor the rate" via the third party and gave me a hard time about booking through there. There systems "went down" a couple of times and while a lined formed behind me with disgruntled travelers and locals. No doubt, embarrassing. * They also made me wait for the car. Finally got everything straightened out with the paperwork (which was a weird process in itself). I was being told that the car was being prepped for me, which I think is code for cleaning. However, given that it was a new car, what was the actual hold up? Was it from a far away lot? * They were just so rude. I got a lot of one worded answers when I asked what was going on and had to ask for my license back even after we were ready to roll. The lady behind the counter said to me loudly, "If you get into any accidents with this vehicle, just remember you denied coverage. All of these people beared witness to you saying no." Hmmm, okay. * Upon returning the car, one of the attendants jokingly said to me, "Hey, you got a nice car. Just remember that. Most people here would kill for something like this." Strange. But he's right, the rest of the cars in the lot were straight out of meh-ville. * When I got my bill (in the mail), I noticed there were all of these charges for a toll on it. I later managed to get it corrected when they realized that it was charged in error to the person who used the car *after* me. Talk about an oversight. I think I'll stick to other rental companies. I'm also pleased to report I'll never buy a Chrysler Pacifica.

Not sure what this scam is about, I rented a car in January of this year and retuned a week later. Then I received a letter about the vehicle being an accident? They want me to sign a document soft recovery of damages on a cover letter that was dated 2017? Not sure but they better have someone call me back to clarify this mess. I returned the car and everything was checked off as clear. So this is my 1st and last time renting from them, unless they address this problem immediately. Smell fraudulent in nature and to get this after 1 1/2 mos after leaving the car safely in JFK seems outrageous!!!
