I've been waiting for over 2 hours and still no car. This place is complete joke. What's the point of a reservation if they don't have cars. Poor people who rented it this morning we're told to go somewhere else due to lack of cars. Chick-fil-a come help these people.

everything was great until the return I filled the gas tank at a gas station 4.1 miles away before returning the car. When I turned in the keys, the agent told me that the car was only 91% full because I filled it up too far away from their location. They charged me almost $17 because the car was not 100% full. She told me that I needed to fill it up next to the airport or it wasn't considered full. She was very rude about it. They want you to fill your car at a gas station that cost at least $.50 more a gallon to be considered fI'll. Believe me when I tell you that car was full when I returned it. I will not waste my time or money with them again.

Terrible service in Las Vegas on September 5th, 2023 !!!Impossible to pick up a car on time, 30 people were staying in line ...Desk staff rude and angry with customer despite their failure to provide car at promised time.NEVER AGAIN !

please don't you ever do any business with this company. The worse ever, consumer service at the Westchester Airport is awful!! Maybe they don't know what are they doing.

Horrific. Avoid at all costs. Spend the money for a more reputable car rental service. I am done with Dollar forever. It's just not worth it. Despite having a reservation that I prepaid for, we had to wait 90 minutes for a car - this was with a baby and a sick 7-year-old. Their waiting room, if you want to call it that, is abysmal. After getting the car finally at around 9:00 at night, we drove off. Twenty minutes later, we realized the AC was broken (the fan was running but it wasn't cold). I called the next day and the guy said I'd have to talk to them when I returned the car. When I returned the car five days later, all they did was fight with me. They offered a tiny $75 discount on a five-day rental for broken AC in the height of summer. It was nearly 100 degrees each day. We had to catch a flight so I couldn't argue any longer. They said they'd "look into it" and contact me. I also emailed Dollar customer service and nobody contacted me. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL.

At the end of the day a car is a car, when it comes to rentals the pick up and drop off are what really matters and dollar failed in both. Pick up was sloppy in a hot trailer at Newark, line was long and slow. When we finally got our car guard gate was empty and we sat waiting to get out for 20 min. Returned the car to JFK in the middle of a rain storm, horrible signage, after 30 min sitting in my car with no one approaching I had to go catch a flight I walk to little Dollar shack and 2 employees are inside nice and dry as I tapped on the glass they just continued to ignore me. Not sure if they realize how much competition there is but I will never rent from them again!

If I can give no star at all, I would. When I entered the office, a lot of people were waiting there. I wondered why. When I talked to the agent there that I had a reservation, she said I had to wait two hours. What!!! All the people there were waiting for a car ready. I have never experienced similar situations with any other rental car company.

My husband and I made a reservation for pickup, 6/2/2023 morning. Attached are pictures of the line which other car rental companies nearby verified is typical. After I pulled up the Yelp reviews I saw multiple customer complaints about 1+ hour wait times, the company running out of cars due to over accepting reservations, and a tedious car return process. I'm hoping this company eventually finds cars for the customers who had a reservation. Fortunately, we found another car available with another company. It was pricier. Overall summary, if you can budget 1-2 hours into your travel time to receive your Dollar Car Rental and book a reservation with the above knowledge, the cheaper rental price might be worth it.

- Absurd times to receive the vehicle (\u003e1h) - Rude and listless staff, not at all willing to help. - Vehicle in poor condition, dirty and with leftover food inside. We reported the issue to the rental desk who said they would send someone - never came. We had to clean up ourselves. - Disastrous condition of the child seat, not at all safe. Reported the problem we were ignored. - In general, little sense of safety in driving the vehicle. - PlatePass policy bordering on theft: having to use toll roads only one day out of 5 we would have had to pay $150 instead of 25/30; non-existent support from operators in providing alternatives.

had a reservation for 11:30 . It's 12:30 and we are still sitting here and we're told that it would take at least a half hour for our car to be cleaned as there are many people in front of us. Very disappointed.

Dollar rental at BWI has made me wait 1 hour to get a car I had reserved. this has happened 2 weeks in a row now on business trips. The waiting area is full of Dollar and Thrifty customers while all other rental companies there look at us with pity. The garage has plenty of cars there. worst customer experience ever with a car rental.

This place is the worst car was filthy, they started our vacation with 2 1/2 hour wait claiming no cars after securing one from Priceline 7 days earlier. Still no car unless I upgraded the charged me extra insurance I declined. Total was 167 more dollars after long wait at 10:30 at night. STAY CLEAR never again.
